Printing pictures I had this printer for several months before I used it to print, used it to upload pics to my computer. When I first used it there were stripes in the prints of poor color. I read the cartridge might have gotten used up when I was uploading pics so I purchased a new one, now the prints are coming out horrible, barely recognizable, only a little color and an outline of the picture. What is the problem??

In printing alone, software is numerous because there are a lot of printingrequirement. From business cards', to flyers, to restaurant menus, to outdoor advertising, to label printing and much more.
It would come out expensive if each task is provided with a computer and a printer. All the different software is bundled into the computer and the user will simply need to access the application to do a task. And due to the existence of the Internet, a series of computers can now be banked together to be served by only one printer.

Most likely your print heads getting clogged with dried ink. You can view the video below to solve this problem

Cleaning print heads

Go to Control Panel-Printers. Select your printer and right click on it and select Properties. Here you would be able to set it to print Pics/graphics.

irrespective of the camera, the pics are printed by the printer. copy all the pics to a folder on your PC. then select a picture and open it with any prog that can handle pics. in that program go to file and select print. and after selecting the print options, click on print. the printer will print a copy for you.

you could try doing it manually, go to my computer open your camera, and select your pic files and ctr+c and ctr+v on folder where you want them to be or just drag them to my pictures folder or wherever you want

u have to clear the sent job, go to printers and faxes through your start menu, if u cant find it there, go to control panel, double click on the printer and faxes icon, on the pop up window, double click to open the printer then select all the jobs and empty the box, then you can start using again, make sure the printer is off while doing that.

Try this !
in the software application you are printing from
Open the document that you want to print.
2. On the File menu, click Print, and then click Setup, Properties, or Preferences.

Look for a Best Mode Setting
this printer has several modes one being draft mode, another one best mode
in best mode the printer uses memory to render the photo you are trying to print.
Note that in this mode, printing takes
longer and more memory is required from your computer.

Also you may have to increase the virtual memory of the windows pc to allow the computers hard drive to allocate more hard drive memory to the memory swap file if the computer's ram is not enough to print the photo.
It is a setting in the control panel under system - performance.

Go to Start/Control Panel/ Add remove software.
Remove the Kodak Easy share software.

Do not re install it.

Use USB cable to connect camera to computer
Use alternative software [picasa which is Free] or any other image editor for processing and printing images.
It is likely your printer has supplied software that is suitable.

If you are using XP, you can just navigate to the folder that has your pictures. Then just select the picture you would like to print and then right click and choose print. That will automatically open the "Photo printing wizard" for you. Just follow along and you should be will on your way!
