I just can not figure out how to print pics in black and white.you know just shutting off the color and printting,
SMATSMAN is right, though not giving any instructions on how to do it. I will give you instructions for MS Word and Windows Picture & Fax Viewer, what you need to click on will vary from program to program in terms of the button's name. In Word the button you need to click on is labelled as Properties. In Pic & Fax Viewer it is labelled as Printing Preferences. Ok now onto the instructions for these 2 programs. I am assume you know how to insert pictures from file in Word? If you don't I will put that step in, if you do just skip it and go to the step regarding the printing of the pic. Word - Click on Insert, Picture then From File and browse for the picture you want to pring in B&W. Once the pic is added press CTRL+P for the Print dialog box and click on Properties. This will open up the Printer's Properties window, click on the Color tab and click in the tick box next to Print in greyscale on the left hand side. You will now have 3 options to choose from: 1. High quality 2. Black print cartridge only 3. Optimize for photocopy or fax From what you are asking I would recommend choosing the 2nd option and print with the black cartridge only. Click Ok to apply it to the pic you want to print out and then click on Ok again to print out the pic. Now on to Windows Picture & Fax Viewer: Double click the actual file and then press CTRL+P or click on the printer icon down the bottom. This loads the Photo Printing Wizard that will guide you through what pics you want to print and allow you to change whether it is greyscale or full color. Click Next and choose the pic or pics you wish to print out, click Next and it will then allow you to choose what printer you want to print to (usually only on networked PCs in companies/etc), once you have chosen the printer click on Printing Preferences. Then click on the Color tab and select Print in greyscale and choose the 2nd option again and click Ok.Clicking Next will now bring up what layout you want it to be printed as, click Next and it will print the pic out for you. Once you are done click on Finish. Hope this helps you out tankbrain
Look for "Print in greyscale" in the printer driver.
