We have Purell hand sanitizer dispensers in our preschool rooms at the recreation center where I work, but our maintenance staff can't figure out how to open the dispenser to change the refill bag. Please help!

The issue is the dispensing unit you have is a sanitizer dispenser, not a soap dispenser. The adapter collar on the bottle is the issue. Soap dispensers use a GRY collar, sannitizers use an LBL collar. There should be a sticker on the dispensing unit that says "LBL" or "GRY". Try removing the collar from a sanitizer bottle and place it on your soap bottle......should work fine. In short, make sure your letter code on the bottle mathces the letter code on the dispenser.
It's been a long time since you asked, but in case someone else found your question like I did, here's the answer:http://www.marketlabinc.com/product.asp?P_ID=4110 There's a release button behind the hinge!
Does the flash open?
Open the flash and try alcohol or purell hand sanitizer on the hinges and release mechanism. Let it soak in and work it in by moving the flash hood repeatedly up and down

The D-8 is a great D/W and is in fact a full use D/W if you call Ecolab,Diversey or whatever chemical agent you use they can install an automatic soap system on this machine with no trouble
