How do I open a wall mounted Purell NXT hand sanitizer in order to put in a refill? It appears to hinge at the bottom and open at the top, but it doesn't want to open easily and I don't want to break it. What is the trick to get it to open?

pull it open from the top... squeeze the top sides of the lighter part and pull it down like a drawbridge. If they installed it correctly, it wont rip off the wall.
The issue is the dispensing unit you have is a sanitizer dispenser, not a soap dispenser. The adapter collar on the bottle is the issue. Soap dispensers use a GRY collar, sannitizers use an LBL collar. There should be a sticker on the dispensing unit that says "LBL" or "GRY". Try removing the collar from a sanitizer bottle and place it on your soap bottle......should work fine. In short, make sure your letter code on the bottle mathces the letter code on the dispenser.
Does the flash open?
Open the flash and try alcohol or purell hand sanitizer on the hinges and release mechanism. Let it soak in and work it in by moving the flash hood repeatedly up and down

If it is mounted to sink the spout should be able to pull it out from top to refill it and put back in it. You should be able to grap it an tell if it will come straight up.
it should have a snap at the top and it will hinge open so you can replace soap. you might have to work with but check it out it should pull towards you from the top allowing you to put bag back into it.
We have this Gojo soap dispenser and can't figure out how to open it to refill it. there are no directions on the refill package and no obvious release buttons to press. Help?
