Washed clothing coming out of our Simpson Esprit 650 have an odour which is not removed with drying... we have changed washing detergents and have used different water levels and cycles but still the odour is present upon washing the clothes... advice appreciated
This is usually because of a bacteria build up on the machine. Suggested actions: Remove and thoroughly clean the soap tray. Remove the waste pipe from the drain pipe you have it poked into and ensure that all is clean and emptied. If your machine has a filter (Usually behind a 4 inch square door on the front towards the bottom of the machine if one is fitted - this depends on the machine and I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with your madel). Finally, take 2 or 3 DISHWASHER TABLETS put them in the machine's drum and wash at the highest temperature that your machine will allow. Modern biological washing powder uses bacteria to break down and "eat" stains. Bacteria creates unpleasant odours. Dish Washer tablets and powder is designed to kill bacteria. Hope this helps
