Lid switch doesn't work

those signs are not neccessarily ur timer, u may have replaced it for nothing. both spin and drain problems are likely located elsewhere?

Check the drain hose to be sure it allows the water to flow freely. You can take the drain hose off and run water through it in your sink to be sure it is not blocked. If there is water STILL in the washer when you remove the drain hose, grab a bucket as the water will exit from where you disconnected it

Most washers have one or two belts. Check your lid switch. If a lid switch is bad, it can cause the washer to not work properly. Sometimes, they will not work at all. Make sure you check your drive motor. The drive motor controls the spinning, draining, and agitation. Most washers have the reverse motor, meaning the shaft rotates in both directions, clockwise and counterclockwise. It is possible to lose one direction and not the other. your problem still could be a bad lid switch not making. also, check your spin/agitate belt part #40053606. hope the attaced breakdown helps.

Does it click when closing the lid ? Sometimes , the lid switch arm , will work inserting something into it , but not with the lid closed . Try checking it using the lid itself . Occasionally , the arm wears to where it has to be pushed farther down to work so the actuator on the lid cannot push it far enough down . Have to replace the lid switch for it to work properly or bypass the lid switch from under the console .

We have a Kelvinator Washing Machine that just won't drain , but fills , agitates , & spins just fine. What shall we do?

Try slamming the lid a little bit to see if the safety switch is stuck or something. It is probably a child safety thing preventing agitation or spin to start. if the switch is not working properly, then the washer will "think" that the lid is still open. It is to prevent some small child that is unsupervised from falling in it and getting killed. Some machines will still agitate even with the lid up and some wont. There is a little small hole somewhere that has a little switch that the lid hits. That could be the problem. If not I don't know of anything else myself to do since im not an appliance man. Just hope that this helps.

I FOUND BROKEN BELT . HOW DO I CHANGE IT ?

The timer is bad / shorted. Mine used to try to spin with the water in it... that was a sight to see!
