The machine's "Control Locked" light is on.

New sensor is required will not run if it cannot lock (safety)

Will Not Unlock
• Press off. The motor control is not responding if it
takes 4 minutes to unlock. The motor control is
either bad or disconnected.
• Unplug and reconnect power cord. Wait 20 seconds
for machine to unlock.
• Check lid locked switch circuit. Circuit should be
closed at machine control.
• Check for loose electrical connections at lid lock and
at machine control board.
• Push lid closed to make sure nothing from inside is
pressing against it which may keep it from unlocking.
• If necessary, remove clothes by disconnecting power

to washer, and open top cover with a putty knife.Here is the part to order.

Try putting the machine into diagnostic mode. If it won't enter diagnostic mode, then you need to replace the main control board.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

The washer must be empty and the control must be in the OFF

state before pressing the touch-pad sequence to start the test.

Starting the Test Mode

? Close the door.

? Push CONTROL/ON (if present on this model).

? Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle.

? Select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SPEED touch-pad.

? Push PREWASH OPTION four times within five seconds. (If

PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA

RINSE four times within five seconds.) C:00 will light up on the

display.

If the Starting procedure fails, push the PAUSE/CANCEL touch-pad,

then repeat the starting procedure.

Test Program Control

In order to advance to the next step of the test procedure, push

PREWASH OPTION touch-pad two times. If PREWASH OPTION is not

present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE two times.

Press and hold 'dry' & 'spin' that should unlock OR Try holding the "end of cycle" button down for 5 seconds.

Locking controls
The Control Lock prevents unintended use of the washer. You
can also use the control lock feature to prevent unintended cycle
or option changes during a cycle. When CONTROL LOCKED is
lit, all buttons are disabled. You can lock the washer while it is
operating.

To lock the controls
Select and hold END OF CYCLE SIGNAL for 3 seconds.
The CONTROL LOCKED status light glows.

To unlock the controls
Select and hold END OF CYCLE SIGNAL for 3 seconds until the CONTROL LOCKED Status light turns off.

Adjacent to the "Control Locked" light is the DRAIN/SPIN button. Push it in and hold for 3 seconds. This should unlock the control panel. If it doesn't, let me know.

This is a designed feature of the washer to lock the controls to prevent small children from accidentally turning the washer on or manipulating the controls in any way. The control can be locked by holding the DRAIN/SPIN button in for seconds, and released the same way. If someone leans against the button this can also occur. Hopefully this will be an easy fix for you. I hope this helps.

Try buttons "dry" & "spin" together for a few seconds. This is the child lock display.

Or press "end of cycle" for over 5 seconds.

Or press "options & select" till the light goes off.

I had the same problem. If you will hold the "Drain & Spin button" in for approximately 4 to 5 seconds it unlocks the " Control Locked" issue.

OMG!! I just held the button at the end of cycle signal for about 3 seconds and the light went off! Now my washer is working!
