The control locked light is lit and it will not allow me to do anything else. I have pushed every button and it is not responding. How do I reset this and how did this happen? Help I need to do laundry! The dl failure code is a door lock error and you also might be getting a f 11 code, which is control failure. You will need a (ccu) central control unit. There are 3 screws on the very top rear of the machine. remove these screws and slide the main top back towards the rear and up. in the rear center of the machine is a white box about 9inches x 5 inches in size on the very top. It snaps out by putting a flat head screw driver under middle tab and prying up as you pull the control forward. Pull 1 connector off at the time and install on the new one. This will fix your problem.
Adjacent to the "Control Locked" light is the DRAIN/SPIN button. Push it in and hold for 3 seconds. This should unlock the control panel. If it doesn't, let me know.
This is a designed feature of the washer to lock the controls to prevent small children from accidentally turning the washer on or manipulating the controls in any way. The control can be locked by holding the DRAIN/SPIN button in for seconds, and released the same way. If someone leans against the button this can also occur. Hopefully this will be an easy fix for you. I hope this helps.
