Are you sure that the battery is holding a charge? If it is holding a charge check the contacts on the battery and inside the camera. you can clean both of them with a pencil eraser gently rub the eraser on the contacts and this will clean them. I hope this helps you out and fixes your problem.

Constant Charging Flash HP Photosmart R927 digital camera

First I'd try turning the flash off, a manual option on nearly all camera's. Take a couple of photo's without flash, and turn the camera off and on a couple of times then turn the flash back on to auto.

If that doesn't resolve the problem, I suggest going to the HP website, follow links to support and/or downloads and see if there's a firmware upgrade for your camera.

My Photosmart R927 will not turn on. I installed

Assuming that the new battery was the correct type and that it was fresh/fully charged, your problem may be due to or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Not able to charged battery nor power the camera. The camera is completely dead.

Do make sure you have new batteries and new charger. If problem persists, then I would have the charging circuit may need to be tested or replaced

R927 will not power on.

i had this problem with this camera when i had it new i would put the camera on the dock to charge and then use it then finally it wouldnt work and i realised that the camera wasnt charging. i contacted hp who i found to not be very helpful, they eventually sent me out a new battery even tho i told them i felt it wasnt the battery, of course the same thing happened with the new battery. i called them again and said i felt that there may be a loose connection in the wire going from the transformer to the dock as by messing around with it had made the light come on but as soon as i let go it went off, they agreed to send a replacement. when the replacement arrived they sent the part of the cable that plugged into mains and as such was no use, they siad they would send the right one but as yet i have not received it. =S however, by moving the wire where it plugs into the dock i have manged to get the camera to charge, it may be worth messing with the wire to see if this is the case with urs and calling for a replacement. claire xx =D
