To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly. If that does not get your player working again, try and Format to clear any corrupt files that may be present. Reasons for a hard start on a fuso Canter 4m42

A hard start could simply be a malfunctioning temperature sending unit, believe it or not. When the engine is not warm, the sending unit, when the switch is turned on, will tell the computer to place the engine into cold start mode. Kinda like using the choke on an early engine. This cold start mode puts additional fuel into the cylinders and advances the engine speed a little, so it doesn't stall, and the engine starts easily. Once the engine is warm, the temp sending unit will tell the computer to take the cold start mode off and into normal run mode. If the temp sending unit is working properly, that is the normal procedure for the computer to do things. If the temp sending unit/sensor is not working at all, the computer doesn't get the "cold start" signal. Therefore, you need to check said sensor and replace it. Then it will start just fine.

My dell dimension computer won't turn on. When I push in the button, it only flashes orange and then won't turn on.

Plug the computer into a power strip that has an on/off switch. Turn the power strip on. Press the computer power on button to start as normal, but after after one second turn off the power strip switch just long enough for the fans on the computer to slow down, but the amber computer led doesn't turn off and then turn the power strip switch back on. Computer should start and run fine. Computer typically can be shut down for up to 5 minutes and restarted normally--any longer and you have to sue the power strip power switch routine again

I have a Magellan Maestro 4250

Not really sure I am providing a resolution here; but my 4250 did the same. First of all; be prepared for some frustration in this process.

First step: Leave the unit plugged-into the computer via the USB cord for around six-hours to fully charge. It should charge even if not turned on.

Unplug the unit from the computer. Unplug the USB cord from the unit. Keep the USB cord and unit nearby.

Next; log onto Magellan's site and register your unit and register as a user -- not hard to do. If you have already done this; then log-in to the site as a user.

Once logged-in; go to "Support" tab (top); click on "Downloads"; then put your type of unit in the drop-down; then choose the model number in the second drop-down.

On this page click on download new software (not mapping software -- but rather operating system software.

Follow the directions you will be given. (They ask that you print out the instructions -- I didn't but it would be recommended) Eventually you will be told to connect the unit to the computer via the USB cord. Continue as told -- pay attention during the download process. You may be asked to unplug the unit once or twice during the process.

Once the download is completed, disconnect the unit and turn it off. Then turn it back on. It will flash, blink, and occasionally appear to turn itself off as the unit sets-up the new software. Eventually the unit should work properly again. Give it some time and be patient while this process occurs.

Also; be sure turn off all of your firewall software; pop-up blockers; and etc on your computer before attempting to download the new software otherwise the download will fail -- especially with Windows XP.

Good luck; and I hope this helps resolve your problem as it did for me. If this doesn't work -- then you might have more serious problems requiring the unit to be shipped to the company.

I want to format my NOKIA 7610 Mobile

your unit is full, delete or move some from your phone memory to your other memory. if it doesn't help, i think you unit has a virus. scan your removable memory in your computer or format your memory on your computer not on your cellphone. the virus on the phone cannot be remove by anti-virus of the cellphone, it can only be remove by reformatting or reprogram your unit.

Charging

"unit turns on and off with the ignition switch, sometimes."

There is something wrong with your power cord or the connection to the cigarette lighter. Your unit should turn on and off with the ignition switch. If the unit is on and doesn't turn off with the ignition switch then your unit is running on battery. If your unit doesn't turn on with the ignition switch then the unit is not getting power from the cigarette lighter.
