Arcsoft Totalmedia 3.5 installing fails to my 64bit Win7 computer. Installing stops when program asks country settings.

I have Windows 7 64-bit and couldn't install TotalMedia 3.5 It would only get as far as Select Video Device, and give 2 options: > WinFast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Filter > FM/DAB Dongle I downloaded a driver (AF9015 BDA Driver - 9.6.3.1) from http://www.unisupport.net/ Select Video Device then gave these 2 options: > AF9015 BDA Driver > FM/DAB Dongle The first one did the trick. (The second one was possibly there because I have a Kaiser Baas USB FM radio.)

Have used the trial version, to make a slide show with photo's and have added music...the completed disk will play on any pc, but on a dvd player connected to the tv, will not load , says it is a bad...

It may be the file type that you've saved is not compatible with your DVD recorder.

Check the instructions on your DVD recorder, see what kind of files it plays ie JPEG, MPEG1 and MPEG2 then either save your file as one of these or download a file converstion programme from Filehippo.com such as :- Any Video Converter 3.05
for free.

Optiarc DVD+-RW AD-5540A decoder

If you are using windows with anything less than windows vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate, DVD capabilities are not built in. For example if you using windows XP or vista home basic DVD will not play. You need a decoder. You have a few options. 1. Buy a decoder pack. 2. Download a DVD player software like cyberlink trial version, install it and check how it is functioning for a few days. Buy and install a DVD player software. However, if you upgraded your compuer recently by adding a DVD drive, you may have recieved a Driver CD disk. Check that disk. check whether a trial version of any DVD player software is included. Most chances are there will be one. Once you got everything fine you can call the customer support for the DVD player software and if you are willing to pay, they will provided you with a key or serial number that will change the status of trial version to a fully working version.

The trial side show program i downloaded will not burn the side show to dvd

The trial version will only allow you to burn up to 36 pictures.
Your slide show probably exceeded this limit. Once you are satisfied with using it (under the limit) you can purchase the full product and receive a registration and be able to have an almost full disc of pictures in your slideshow.

My computer is Compaq Presario SR541OF

never ever post email or worse phone numbers here
unless endless spam for 1000 years is fun, or worse. (i deleted that)
use the forum get answers, here or
or better ask at HP , forum. (yah)
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/

no OS stated, is this XP windows. ???
saved it to what, what file name is it this slide show???
names matter big time in who can read them....!!!

burning DVD-R is non trivial
not only that but you never side who is to read this DVD
others, using what? just you, on just this PC?
PhotoImpression by Arcsoft (version what?) is retired now at Arc and HP. its dead, now. for support.
what version photoimpression??? v2? does have burn..

APPLICATIONS ARE EVERYTHING (end use by whom)?
first things first (omg huge list)
Is it XP? OS
if XP at SP3 service pack loaded.
does the PC have DVD burner in it? its marked for that.
does the CD/DVD Reader writer , read CDs ok.>? yes'. no
can it play a movie DVD? ok, if not fix this first.
does any CD-DA music disk (store bought ) play?

did you get and read, PhotoImpression , manual?
i see manuals dated 1999, is that how old this is?

"I go to burn copy , nothing," where do you see BURN>?

page 21 in your manual.
(JPG, BMP, TIF, PCX, TGA).
use JPG, only.

i read you manual, it does not say who can read your slide shows.
nor there format structure.
are only you with this PC and this APP only running slide shows.?
if yes, then you maybe above to put them on a DVD.

Id use free imgburn.
Id use that to burn the DVD-R.
the attempt to read it with the program above.
The best slide shows, (done many) are best done 2 ways.

1: SOFTWARE THAT makes flash video out of the slides.
2: software that makes HTML pages that have thumb nail photos you click,
3: or other software that OTHER unstated people can see...
you never said who must see this slides.
on what PCs
or other serviced,, (end usage matters)

if you want to test a DVD-r
take a folder full of JPG photos.
then using imgburn. bun that folder to the DVD-R> media.
then any one can read it, and with a program called
FastStone Image Viewer 6.3 free
http://www.faststone.org/download.htm

any one can use this client side view. in slide mode, for free.
on PCs only. there are other apps for other PC types, or MAC.

nothing beats this. burner. and is free

http://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

use this to burn DVD-R.
or CD-R
i fit fails your OS is bad.
your PC is corrupted, virus or worse.
your disks are bad
your DVD driver is bad, (can it read all others good disks)?>
