Cannot uninstall arcsoft total media

Using regular '' add and remove programs'' doesn't uninstall the program.
It opens a window in arcsoft offering the unistall but then quits the unistallation program without doing anything

A window keeps popping up saying arcsoft connect daemon has stopped working. how do i correct fhis problem. i am not an expert so please go easy

Hello, Arcsoft is a suite of media handling programs. Arcsoft Connect is used for online connection (updates, new goodies etc). It would be odd if you have 'Connect' without any other of their products, so you might want to uninstall those first if they exist In order to remove that from your computer lets try these methods. Method 1: If it is installed into C:\Program Files, you may be able to uninstall it via programs and features.
To do that follow the link provided below. Uninstall or change a program
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program

Method 2: Try disabling the "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" service from Services before you start. To do that you need to follow these steps: 1. Click on start button.
2. Type in services.msc in the search field.
3. Now locate the "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" service and right click on it and select disable. Now reboot the computer and check if the issue gets resolved. Method 3: If the above method doesn't resolve the issue, you may try downloading the windows installer cleanup utility and install it on your computer and try removing the arcsoft program and check for the issue. To do that you need to follow the links provided below. Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

For clean up and installation you can refer to the below mentioned link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100

Add this link to download windows installer cleanup utility:

Every time i start up my laptop w/OS windows vista i get a window which says arcsoft connect daemon, not working or something like that. if i try to update it says its the updated version. is this a trial...

Have you tried going to Control Panel>Programs and Features and uninstalling the arcsoft program? If that doesn't work, do the following:

  1. Open the Start menu and go to Run... Or, if Run... is not available, skip it and go to the little bar you can type in at the bottom of the start menu
  2. Type "msconfig" (without the quotes)
  3. When the window pops up, go to the Startup tab
  4. Find the arcsoft entry and disable it.
  5. Reboot your computer. The msconfig window will open up again to be sure that your settings are the way you want them, you can just close it.

Im wanting to remove some of my arcsoft programs that i do not use which ones can i remove without affecting the basic program?

First, make sure you have the Arcsoft disk in case you change your mind. I remember seeing the Arcsoft programs several years ago, they came with some printer I bought. If you have your Arcsoft disk, then you are free to experiment with options.

Look under Add/Remove Programs, and see how many entries you see for Arcsoft. There may just be one, I don't really know. But if there are several, then try to make intelligent choices about what you remove and what you keep. I'm not sure what you're using this for - - - anyhow, it says "Cards and Calendars", so those are the 2 main functions. Maybe if you're not using Calendars, you could remove that.

But I have a hunch it's probably just a single suite with these 2 functions built in. Let me know if this helps.

BTW, if you don't have your Arcsoft disk, I would not recommend uninstalling ANY part of the suite. For example, if it came pre-loaded on your computer, the only way to get it back may be to do a total, "factory reinstall" where you format the hard drive and put everything back the way it was when you bought it.

Thanks ~Jim :-)

I want delete ArcSoft MediaImpression2 from Add or Remove Program but cannot. When I click Remove button, nothing happen but the file is still there. I need your help/ Thanks in advance

Click here to download and install ccleaner.exe

This program is free for you
once started, access the add/remove programs tab on the left hand side and select the program you want to remove and click uninstall. If you cant uninstall still, you can remove it from the systems program log, as it may be corrupted or may have uninstalled correctly, but left the file that windows reads in order to say it is installed.
GOOD LUCK AND RATE HIS POST AS FIXYA!!!!

I want to uninstall

I'm assuming you mean an ArcSoft application/program. I'm also assuming you mean for a Microsoft Windows operating system. If those assumptions are correct. Then simply go to the Control Panel and select Add/Remove Applications. ArcSoft will be listed. Simply select it and choose to uninstall/remove.
