What happened: 1] My battery ran out. 2] I connected my phone to my Laptop so that it can charge 3] Usually the charging status shows on the phone. Not this time 4] I tried turning my phone on. But it does not happen. What do I do? Help

If charger is good, you should look for replacement battery. Charger's condition might be diagnosed by any technician with a tester.

Ted try this once more:

1. turn off the machine.
2. keep pressing the off switch a little longer 3. remove the battery.
4. press the off button for say 15 seconds.
5. re-install battery after a few minutes.
6. connect charger to computer and see if it shows % charge.
7. when it shows 100%disconnect charger and see if the battery still shows 100% If it does you are now reset. IF not,will cross the bridge then.

3 logical possibilities comes to mind: 1) Battery is faulty. 2) Charger is bad, not connected to an active wall outlet or not making good connection with the tablet. 3) There is a software issue, possibly with the application that shows the battery status.

If your laptop computer runs normally on your acer 5810t charger, but the battery won't charge, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1) Remove the battery from the system.

2) Look at the connectors in the bay and on the battery for signs of physical damage.

3) Check the battery charge by pressing the status button or image on the battery near the LED's. Note: The lights indicate the current amount of charge on the battery. If all the LED's come on when you press on the butto, the battery is fully charged. If fewer lights are lit, then the battery is partially charged. This is a common problem. It may be that the charger is dammaged. these Dell chargers have a micro thin communication cable in them that tell the charger to charge the battery. this micro thin cable can often break. Its use it to prevent the laptop battery from over charging, but if it breaks or becomed broken inside tha charger cable, then the laptop simply won't get the charge signal and the battery won't charge. If this is the case, then you will need to replace the charger with another Dell charger compatible with your laptop

If your battery will not charge, you need to run a test on some components on the laptop. The battery, the charger and the laptop itself. Once you detect the faulty conponent then you replace it with a new one.

To test the battery:
1.Power off the laptop,
2.Take out the battery,
3.Insert it in another laptop,
4.Check of it will charge,

If the battery holds a charge there, then it means the problem is not from the battery, but if it does not hold a charge, then it means the battery is defective and need to be replaced with a new one.

To test the charger:
1.Unplug the charger from the present laptop,
2.Connect it to another laptop to see if it will charge.

If it charges the laptop, then it means the charger is alright, and if it does not charge the laptop, then it means the charger is bad and need to be replaced.

To test the laptop:
1.Turn off the laptop,
2.Disconnect your present charger,
3.Remove your present battery pack,
4.Insert a well tested battery into the laptop,
5.Connect a well tested charger to the laptop.

If it powers on, then it and charges, then it means the laptop is working fine, but if it does not charge, then it means the connection port of the laptop is bad.Hope this information was helpful.

Dell XPS 15 AC Adapter Charger

Here are a few options; 1) your picture shows two bases, if that is the case, is it happening to both bases/phones, if not check terminals to make sure both are clean and connecting well. 2) if possibly exchange them, Uniden's are usually good phones, I've owned them before. 3) If you have one phone holding a charge and the other not, exchange the batteries and see if it's specific to the battery set. If so, you can purchase replacements at several stores. Hope that helps.

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Have you checked the bios battery status and bios version? first check if battery has charge if yes then update the bios. also try to remove batt and use ac adapter alone and check if laptop has sufficient power. try connecting ac adapter to a diff wall socket. if laptop works fine with ac adapter alone then batt might has problem.

Went to Best Buy and they didn't know how to get the bar up either but said that the unit should be charged in 3 to 4 hours. So, when i unplugged the unit from the wall...the battery status showed up. I guess it doesn't show when the unit is plugged into the AC charger. Now, all is well.
