I have a samsung sgh f480 and it wont switch on, every time i charge it the screen flashes on and off then it wontswitch on i bought a new battery for it it worked for 4 days then same problem. i ordered thisa phone from ebay and i got an asian charger for it but also recieved an australian travel adaptor. i emailed them and they told me to try master reseting the phone. i dont no how i can do that? please help me, wat should i do my email is [email protected]

I got Samsung F480T from Telstra.
Didn't use it for 6 months, and when plugged into USB to charge via PC, it won't charge. Took it to service centre, they put new battery, and it worked while I kept it charged up.
Then switched to using my Sony Ericsson, and didn't use Samsung for 8 months, and same drama. Phone was now out of warranty. Guess what, plugged in the wall charger, didn't work. Then kept it plugged in, and it started working after half hour! Woohoooo!!
For hard reset (if you forgot password for master reset, or just can't be bothered), unplug all cables, take out sim & memory cards, go to stand by screen, and type:

2.)*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
3.)#7465625*638*00000000#
One of them should work.

No need to perform Master Reset .
This problem also happens to me .
If your screen flash on and off when attempting to charge .
Just do this to make your phone functioning .
Take out your battery , charge it with multi charger . then about 20 minutes charging . insert back your battery to F480 phone .
Now on the phone ..it will return to normal .And you can resume charging with your normal charger .
