Acer Extensa 5620: The power supply jack is loose
System check
1. estimate the extent of damage, possibly requires entire board replacement housing the extension power supply modulators, possibly due to physical damage on contact.
2. Aslo check the battery life since could determine the possibilty of substituting power chord from currrent outlets with batteries
The device would not connect to power outlet without a properly functioning battery installed. A depleted battery could not be replaceble by connecting a source out power outlet. each parts of the power complement the entire process of achieving computer experiece.
Consult a technician insisting the replace the entire power system of battery and ac adapters and also fixing damages on the mother board may be contributing to power leakage
Oprating system not found acer extensa 5620
This could be due to a faulty HDD or simply a corrupted OS installation, if possible check the HDD with hard disk manufacturers own software to make sure hdd is ok, if not then purchase new hdd.
ACER 4630z will not boot up
The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.
How do I fix loose ac jack on acer extensa 5620z?
Hi,
If your laptop is under warranty or has a service contract, I would send it in for service according to the terms of sale. If your ac jack is loose you should check the cord in case the end is damaged and if your power cord isn't damaged you need to check the screws and connection and that's going to require removing the battery and the bottom cover of your laptop. It isn't difficult to replace most of the hardware in the Acer laptop, but you'll be exposing circuit boards and wires and there are all kinds of things that can be damaged if you're not careful, so I don't recommend taking apart your laptop unless you are certain you can replace the hardware without damaging other sensitive components. I really suggest that you have someone qualified in computer repair take a look at your laptop.
Also, once you open the back cover or take apart anything on your laptop you will void your warranty. most laptops have stickers and tabs placed on your laptop and once you remove the sticker it causes damage to the sticker and it lets the manufacturer know that you've attempted to repair it and that voids the warranty.
Once you check those see if the battery works, it may need replacing. Good luck!

I have an Acer extensa 5220. When it was set up, "someone" segregated the main hard drive, and put a password onto it. This drive has never been used, and I am running out of memory to update programm
It seems someone did a Dual Partition which divided the space on the hard drive into two individual section like a "C" drive and "D" drive. As a rule when Windows is installed the main partition is "C" and a very small partition is "D" where the operating system "Repair" is stored in the event "C" is affected. TWO ways to fix the problem: If you can locate a program called Power Suite 2009 or 2010 distributed by a company called SpotMau; this is a Utility program the seeks Passwords and it can clear them out automatically. I have one, and it can be duplicated if you wish to wait a week to fix the problem. Just pay for the CD/DVD and shipping. OR you can refresh the hard drive. It will need to be Re-partitioned so Drive "C" is the main section with 90% of the space dedicated to the main drive and a small 10% left for the reserve data. Reinstalling Windows rom scratch may do the trick, but it is not a given at this point. In short; a new drive should not be manually partitioned unless the user is seeking to have TWO separate drives and two operating systems on the same hardware. If you can't do that procedure; contact me and I can do it for you at our shop. [email protected]

Bootmgr is compressed
The Windows operating system allows you to compress the files on your drive to conserve disk space.
In some situations, this compression process will compress files required for the operating system to boot.
Files that are compressed must be decompressed prior to execution.
Since the operating system has not loaded, boot files cannot yet be decompressed.
In this case, the operating system will fail to load and a "BootMgr is compressed" message will appear.
An easy way around this problem is to boot from the Windows DVD, and use the provided interface to access your drive properties and decompress it.
Turn on the computer, and insert your Windows DVD.
Press a random key on your keyboard once you see the "Press any key..." message.
This interrupts booting from the hard drive and forces a boot from the Windows DVD.
Click the "Next" button at the bottom of the Windows 7 dialog, and then click the "Repair your Computer" link Below.

File Compression and Decompression
Select the "Load Drivers" button at the bottom of the "System Recovery Options" dialog, and click the "OK" button on the "Add Drivers" dialog.
This opens a file browser on your screen.
Click the "Computer" icon, which is located on the left hand side of the screen.
This displays an icon for your disk drive.
Right-click your hard drive, and click "Properties.
" This opens a Local Disk Properties dialog.
Click to deselect the "Compress this drive..." option at the bottom, and then click the "Apply" button.
Select the "X" icon to close the file browser window.
This takes you back to the Install Windows dialog.
Press the "X" icon at the corner of the Install Windows dialog.
This opens a cancellation dialog. Select the "Yes" button on this dialog to restart your computer.

Acer launch is stuck in a loop after system
Something that is supposed to launch at startup is corrupted. Try booting in Safe Mode - if you can then disable all programs (including security ones) and try again. If now it works you know that it's one of them - enable them one by one till it fails again. If it doesn't work then it's either one of the drivers or Windows itself. Best solution is to reinstall
