Paper jammed

Hi Good day!!!
Here are some steps to remove paper jam

1. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands on the metal tools inside the chassis.

2. Pin down the exact location of the jam. The three hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, between the feed tray and the print carriage or between the print carriage and the output tray.

3. Take off the front paper tray. If the sheet jammed around here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4. Pull on the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Don't tug too quickly. You might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeper in the machine.

5. Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer. Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.

6. Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside. You may need to move the print carriage out of your way to get at the jam.

7. Return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Carriage Jam on my HP Officejet 5610v All-in-One printer

If I move the carriages to the center of the bar they slide on (would be the center of the paper) and close everything it seems to re-load, I've had to do this several times over the last few years and so far it always works

Epson R320 "General Error" message - unable to clear

If you are getting a 'carriage jam' error as soon as you turn on your Epson printer with no tasks in progress, then check for any piece of paper stuck in the carriage. Remove the paper carefully. If the paper tears, part of it might remain inside the paper path and damage the product.

Fix 'Carriage Jam' : Open Door, clear carriage jam,
and then press OK to continue' error message
Turn off the printer and open it to see where the paper is stuck.
Manually move the carriage toward the opposite side.
Check the paper path and remove any piece of paper or any other object that is stuck in the path.
Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

    Hp photosmart carriage jammed

I had the same problem and finally solved it this way. After hours of trying to find out where this carriage was, to no avail, I finally decided to move the printer head by hand, which was way over on the right side and I found out it is also the carriage. I unplugged the printer and slid the carriage all of the way to the left, looked back in there using a flashlight and low and behold there was a wad of paper, it took some doing to get it out. What fooled me was that when the message came up i took the back off and there was two 4x6 pieces of photo paper jammed in back, I removed them and thinking that's all there were, I never thought to look for any more paper.

    Hope this helps

    Carriage jam

It's telling you that something is in the path of the paper or a paper is stuck in the machine. There is a panel on the back that removes quite easily. Check there. Also, check where you put in the ink, there may be a paper in there. Also look for bits of paper. Sometimes in a jam, the paper gets ripped and a piece of it is still there.
