Bought a proform ekg treadmill model # 831.297880 from a lady on line. Got it home and found that everything seems to work except the speed controls. When it starts up it automatically goes to the speed of 1.0 and will not allow me to adjust it either way up or down. Any ideas whats wrong or how to fix it?
Mine did the same thing. I had to take the display apart and clean the contacts on the circuitboard that are underneath the buttons. After I put it back together it has worked perfectly. Mone came from a house where the people smoked and it was the nicotine and tar that was in the smoke that had seeped inside and cause it to stop functioning properly. Well I guess thats why they sold it to me. They likely were not using it anyway. Well I hope this helps
