THIS IS KINDA ODD SINCE ALL TREADMILLS HAVE A SAFETY KEY. PLEASE CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE NUMBER THAT IS ON YOUR USER MANUAL OR CALL 1-888-533-1333.
First perform an incline calibration. The procedure is outlined in your users manual. It is a simple procedure. Insert the safety key and start the machine in motion. Press the incline up button. While the numbers are increasing remove the safety key. Now reinstall the safety key, the machine should incline to maximum then lower back down to minimum. Now you can operate the treadmill, the incline should work.
The "key" is inserted in the front of the panel and attaches to your wrist or clothing. It is a safety device that will shut off the treadmill of you fall down or off. If it ins't with the machine then you might be able to obtain a repacement from the manufacurer on-line.
Enter calibration mode and do a calibration first. Press the stop & speed up key, insert the safety key/magnet. Press stop 1 more time. Press speed up, the speed display should start to increase in value. By 30-40, the motor should be running. If not, you either need a motor or motor controller PCB. What model is the treadmill?? PCTL???
If I understand correct, the treadmill will not run correct unless you have the safety key in. Well yes this is correct because once the safety key is removed the treadmill will stop. If your treadmill is running extremely fast just by turning it on, you may need a new speed sensor. www.AtlantaFitnessRepair.com
