WHAT IS THE SRC BUTTON FOR ON A JVC RADIO

It simply means "source". These radios typically have AM/FM, CD, auxiliary (1/8" plug), USB, and some XM/Sirius input selections. The source button is how you choose.

Most wiring now is standard colors....red=ignition(goes to a switched power source...Yellow=battery...goes to a hot all the time(even with key off)...black=ground...white=left front speaker positive...white w/blk stripe=left front speaker negative...gray=right front spkr +...gray/ blk=right front spkr - ...green=rear left +....green/blk rear left - ...violet=right rear +...violet/blk= right rear - ...light blue or blue with a stripe is the remote turn on lead either for an amplifier or power antenna...some radios have an orange/ with white stripe that connects to your parking light dimmer circuit to dim the radio light with the dash lights....and then you should have the antenna plug and possibly rca outputs that go to an external amp

VAN AUTO HOOK UP KD-HDR1

This radio can not use a common ground. If your speakers are all grounded together you will blow up the amp IC in the radio. The negative speaker wires run at about 6 or 7 volts and so do the positive speaker wires.

Trust me, run new speaker wires, do not common ground any of these speakers

If this was helpful a good rating would be appreciated.
