Microsoft lifecam vx-1000 sound issue!!

When i make a video call we have images just fine, but only one side will have sound. how do i fix it? we thought it might be the actual webcam, but this time it switched who could hear and who could now. help! any suggestions or tips?

    I get some sound but on my side the same word repeats. On the other side of the call they cannot hear me

    The person on the other side cannot hear me well. I dont know how to make the mic put up my voice. Plus theres a static sound in the background

    Once we were able to see each other, there was no sound on either end. Both of our LifeCams are new and when I check the volume it is on. Why can't we talk to each other?

    I have the vx-1000. My sister has a what ever in NZ my friend in Mandurah WA has a microsoft ??$149.00 I can hear and see them both and they me



    Problem One other party in NZ I can see him but no sound from his end he can see and hear me.



    I don't want to fool around with my stuff because I have no idea what I am doing can you help him his e mail is [email protected]



    He has re installed program and I am not to sure of what else many thanks

    Making a video call is ok till it comes to the sound. The other person can hear me,but i can't hear them. All i get is a hissing sound.

    I can't hear the other person and my sound on my computer(other aplications) is affected but only after starting a webcam live chat? I use msn live.

    the audio driver for my Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 Webcam will not install. I have downloaded the latest driver from microsoft and installed it, but still no luck with the sound driver. I am using vista 32-bit

    Problem with MSN. Cannot be seen, just a black square and not be heard. You can take pictures but doesn't seem to be working with MS Messenger. live

Normal 0 See section C. Windows Live Messenger in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your family and friends so they have their computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

To get the latest Microsoft Web Camera drivers, copy this site and paste it in your web browser address bar and hit ENTER.

then select the necessary items as listed below, such as
1. Select type of product. (Web cam)
2. Select your product (camera model).
3. Select your operating system. (XP, Vista etc.)
4. Select your operating system language. (United States English)
Then to use it on the Web, do this.
Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Then to use it on the Web, do this.
Web Camera's have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.

Go to "TOOLS" and click "Audio and Video Setting" and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Your audio and video should work. Enjoy.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

D. AIM (AOL) Messenger:
http://dashboard.aim.com/aim
On the VIM sign-in window, click on Edit.
Then click on Settings Enhanced IM.
Next click on Enhanced IM.
Then click on Audio Video.
The Audio and Video portion has drop downs so you can select the proper audio card and video camera installed in you computer.
The Audi Video drop downs are
Microphone
Speaker
Camera
The audio and camera should function now.
Additional information to use with VIM settings.
Adjust Your Audio and Video Settings:
In order to adjust your audio and video settings, please follow the steps given below:
1. Click the Audio and Video Settings button directly below the My Buddy or My Camera window. If you are currently
Participating in an AOL Live Video IM session, a message will display: You must disconnect the current AOL Live Video IM
conversation before running setup. Would you like to disconnect now? Click the Yes button.
2. The Audio and Video Tuning Wizard will appear to help you verify that your camera, speakers and microphone are working
Properly. Follow the on-screen prompts.
Notes:
The first time you use AOL Live Video IM, a message will display: Would you like to first check your audio and video settings? Click the Yes button.
The Audio and Video Tuning Wizard will appear to help you verify that your camera, speakers and microphone are working properly.
Follow the on-screen prompts.
images in AOL Live Video IM may appear reversed, or as a mirror image (text may appear backwards) when you look at your own camera feed or at the
Picture-in-picture (PIP) display.

goto volume mixer and you will find that in recording and playback line in is muted unmute it and increase line in volume it might work

Picture quality terrible on Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 Webcam

You should be able to adjust the focus by adjusting the lens.The little housing where the lens is should be able spin a bit. If you gently spin it a bit, it should change the sharpness of the image on the screen.

Am using microsoft lifecam vx-1000 when i try do a video call

Do they have a webcam? They need to config their webcam.

After that, it could be your video card that is giving you the trouble if they have a webcam and its config. Try updating your graphic card to the most current and see if that helps.

Delay in Video image after video recorded is replayed

Normal 0 Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop down and select Camera Microphone.
Click OK and it should work.
