If you're hearing beep codes like 1 short beep followed by 2 long beeps or 1 long followed by 2 short beeps...these beep codes is for either the video card or RAM.

If you could open the computer, remove the video card and RAM from their slots and clean the gold plates with dry cotton cloth. And clean the slots using a blower to remove the dust.

If that did not resolve the issue, listen to the beep code and consult a technician so that he could tell you which component is defective.

Thank you!

Aspire 5336-2524 will not boot up

Try this:

Start the computer. As soon as the "Starting Windows" screen comes up (not the Acer screen), hold down the Power Button to shut off the computer. This might force the computer to go in to Windows recovery mode when you restart. Now, turn on the computer, and it should go to a "Windows Diagnostics and Recovery" page. Choose Diagnose the Problem or whatever it says, follow the instructions.

Good luck.

Hp dx2200 computer won't power off

If your HP computer refuses to power down, this means that there are still programs open that Windows can't close. Normally when you select the "Shut Down" button from your "Start" menu, Windows closes all open programs, then closes itself, and your basic input/output system (BIOS) turns off all of your hardware. If Windows can't close all open programs, your computer won't be able to power off. This means that you must close these programs yourself.

Right-click on the window of an open program on your Windows taskbar (Bottom of Screen) Click "Close Window." Windows manually closes the program. If a window appears on-screen indicating that Windows cannot get the program to close, click the "Force Close" button in this window to have Windows force the program to shut down. Repeat "Step 1" for any additional programs that are open on your computer. Click "Start." Click "Shut Down." Hope this helps.

Computer crashed

Start wile pressing the F8 or TAB key and select the last time your computer worked properly, otherwise try to start in safe mode and restore it the previous day. If this does not rectify it or u are unable to even get there, best option is to Insert your OS CD and boot from CD ROM. Select install, but on the same partion that your OS is loaded on. The screen will display that another version of windows already exist. DO NOT SELECT AUTO REPAIR but go ahead untill u reach the option to repair by pressing the "R" key, do so and follow the instructions on the screen. This will not cause any loss of Data or programs installed other than correct the SYSTEM FILES of WINDOWS. Hopefully one of the above should work....sodeep

Gateway laptop mx3414-black screen cannot load windows

Try going into safe mode upon startup by hitting the F8 button. If it does then hit safe mode to get into your computer. Go to start>accessories>system tools>system restore. Follow the wizard to restore your computer to a date earlier than when you started having problems. Let me know if you have any problems or questions.
