Take back off and check if fuse has blown. replace fuse with exactly same type and size. if fuse blows again it is unlikely to be the on-off switch.you may be lucky and fuse doesn't blow. tv will start up.

It is not neccasarily dead , WHAT IS HAPPENING IS YOU HAVE A HIGH VOLTAGE LEAK . Sometimes you can repair this by buying some high voltage putty and placing the putty over the point of the leak . Check for broken insulation on the high votage wire usally this wire is red and attached to the picture tube .

Hitachi 51f59a lost picture powers up and can hear sound amp come on when turned on and off but no picture

You may have a shorted horizontal output transistor. This transistor drives the high voltage transformer which in turn drives the picture tubes. High voltage can be dangerous so you may want to have a repair shop check it out for you. Also have them apply a bead of silicon around the anode caps on the picture tubes. This will prevent high voltage leaking out and causing the horizontal output to short again. Thanks

Conia Tv

not digital? must at least 30 years old... lol
turning it off and on consantly means to me your Power Suppy or high voltage is too high on the verge of "shut down" this means something overheating but my best guess is that your suppy is sending way too much voltage to all circuits... get a schematic and voltmeter.

Popping sound and picture goes out

Sounds like the flyback or the picture tube. Either items can cause this. If the pop comes from the rear right side its the flyback. If the sound comes from the lower front behind the speaker grille its the tube. Let me know what you discover as I have access to any of the parts you would need.

Picture is geen and does not stay

Lots of trouble with bad picture tubes on that model! Remove the front grill and very gently tap on the neck of the center picture tube near the socket with the back of your screw driver. If the picture flashes back to normal that means the the tube has an internal short. You may hear a snapping noise while tapping and the set may shut off. If the tube is not sensetive to tapping it it possible you have some other type of failure.
