For some reason it started to take a longer time to warm up...

Hello all,
I have some trouble with my Mitsubishi VS-55707.
Recently, it started taking a little bit longer to warm up. In the first 5 minutes, it looks like a horizontal hold need adjusted but then goes away.
Also is there anything I can do there seems to be a image burned into the screen - I guess from extensive using for xbox games...
Thanks a lot in advance.
Andreas

    Thanks a lot C E T!
Is there a way to fix the power supply or is that too expensive as well?
Thanks for your great and fast response.

This model has several caps. on the power supply voltages such as the 5v, 9v and 12 v lines that begin to dry out and open and such problems begin to manifest themselves. Most likely this problem will continue to get worse and worse. As far as burned in images there is nothing that can be done short of replaceing all three picture tube and that is very expensive and this unit is to old to consider a 1000.00 repair.

Anyone who has a cap checker and is familiar with electrolytic caps can easily find and replace these defective caps. A qualifed service professional should be able to do this on site and the cost should between 150.00 to 200.00.

Mitsubishi VS-55707 TV powers on for about 1 second then powers off. I have replaced the convergence IC's, but still get the error code 22. Are there any resistors that I should be double checking?

THERE ARE 2 CURRENT LIMITERS 1 OHM OR SOLIDER IN FUSES FOR + & - SUPPLY THEY FEED THE CONVERGENCE IC'S YOU NEED TO VERIFY YOU HAVE YOUR POWER SOURCE TO THESE. ALSO A LOSS OF VERTICAL DEFLECTION WILL CAUSE THIS.
