The F1 error code on this washer indicates a Primary Control Board failure.

It is likely that the machine control board will need to be replaced to correct this problem.

The part number for the machine control board is undetermineable because you have not provided me with the exact model # of your washer.

The procedure for replacing the machine control board is provided HERE

LINK: http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wfgstgtftbtkrrdxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/gfsfgfsgqxgfqtqtgwf/1/1303472/5961857/image55806img-or.gif

NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

There is a slight possibility that a problem with the pressure switch hose could be causing this problem.

A pinched or twisted air hose can cause this fault code.

When you open the console, check the air hose connected to the pressure switch on the machine control board.

If it is pinched or crimped, I recommend rerouting the hose to resolve this problem.

This may fix your problem without replacing the control board.

NOTE: You may want to check for this condition before ordering the control board. Most electronic control boards cannot be returned for a refund or credit.

If you find no apparent problems with the air hose on the pressure switch, then replacing the machine control board on this washer should correct your problem. There is a risk involved in replacing this part yourself.

As noted above, you could have a problem with the air pressure hose that is not apparent upon your initial inspection. A service technician would normally need to properly and thoroughly diagnose this problem before replacing the control board.

Brush Cleaning did not clear the (L / R) HPR> 45F (7C) AFTER 1 HR fault on my Taylor Model C723 soft serve ice cream freezer.

Certain conditions must be met. The machine needs to be empty. The freezer door must be off the machine. The power switch must be off. Once the machine is off, a 5 minute countdown will show. It will also show 4 temperature readings. All 4 of them must be above 60 degrees F. before the countdown will start. Once the counter reaches zero, the Brush Clean Cycle will be reset along with any temperature vs. time error codes. If at any time, one of the temp readings drop below 60 degrees F. before the end of the 5 minute countdown, the countdown will reset to 5 minutes and the machine will not reset. Generally, the freezing cylinders take longer to come to temperature. Even when you run warm water through it first, there is sometimes enough residual cold to bring the temperature back below 60. A successful Brush clean Cycle will display "Power Switch Off---Unit Cleaned" and the 2 digit green display under the main display will reset to 00. if this happens and you turn the machine back on and you are hit with the same message then you may have an issue with one of your boards.

What does 5ud mean 10 minutes from finishing 5 Ud displayed can't open door?

Hello Maureen Turner,

If your model number came thru with your question... I could have looked it up AGAIN to see if

By far the biggest cause of the "suds" alarm...
is "SOME ONE" is using other than "HE" washing
agents in your HE machine...

Stop it... Read your owners manual.

This can cause serious and expensive repairs.

What is A1, A2 referring to on the machine display panel

If it is the lower display with the 2 green digits, then that is referring to hours of service since last brush clean cycle. It is just a timer. Once it reaches 99, it start to use letters and numbers, so A1 would be 101 hours since last brush clean. b1 would be 111 hours and so on. To clear this the machine must recognize a brush clean cycle. the next time you clean your freezer door, make sure the power switch is off. it will display a 5 minute timer and 4 temperature readings. All 4 of those temperature readings must be above 60 degrees Fahrenheit and remain above 60 for 5 minutes. If at any point the temps drop below 60, the timer will reset. The freezer door must remain off the machine during this time. Once the timer reaches 0, the machine will enter a Unit Cleaned state and you can reassemble the machine.

Gu 120 es

there is a "smartclean" sensor that measures dissolved solids in the water in an attempt to shorten the washing cycle. however if the dishes have much food left on them, then the washer will continue to run untill it gets a "clean" reading, or it reaches the max run time (180 minutes). all energy star dishwasher require the dishes to be throughly rinsed before washing in the machine. trust me, i know how counterproductive this is.

Hobart LXIH stuck in Wash mode after running multiple loads. Shutting off breaker for several hours fixes problem until multiple loads have been run again and then it is once more stuck in Wash mode.

How long does it stay in the wash cycle? Indefinitely? Does the display continuously show "WASH"?. If it stays in the wash cycle indefinitely (i.e. continuously shows "WASH" for significantly beyond approx. 3 minutes), it's probably a control board malfunction. If it continues to wash after the "WASH" indicator goes out, it could be a shorted wash motor relay on the relay board or a fauly control board.

If the internal rinse water booster heater doesn't reach it's programmed setpoint temperature in time, the dishwasher will run an extended wash cycle to give the booster heater more time to finish heating the rinse water. If this is what's happening, the wash cycle would last approximately 3 minutes, then it would rinse regardless of whether the booster heater has finished heating or not.

The booster temperature thermistor may be bad, giving a false booster temperature reading, causing an extended wash cycle as described above. The booster heater elements or contactor may be bad, preventing the booster heater from heating and reaching proper temperature, also causing the same extended wash cycle to give the booster more time to heat.

The lights turn on and cycle through even though not running

Many folks have experienced this issue. I feel it could be an issue with the Control Board. But no one so far has taking the time to work this issue. If you want to try the first step is to see if the Control Board will let you go into Service Mode
Some handy links;
FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.
Enter / Exit Service Mode
To enter Service Mode press the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys (simultaneously) for three seconds or until the control beeps and the LED display will read 00.

If you can get into Service Mode go to page 17 of the Service Manual Display Diagnostic Codes follow the steps to step thru diag code blocks. Recorded the diag codes that show up. Then let us know the results. If you had to use a DVM to measure +12VDC on the Control Board could you do that?

Whirlpool Calypso Cycle Problem

The FL error code means:
Flood Condition:
FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

When the pressure comes up on the monitor the top number was reading EE. It did it three times. I can't find the instructions. The machine is an Omron model: 741CREL. Thanks.

EE=Cuff under-inflated=not inflated enough. While cuff is inflated, keep pressing START button until pressure reaches 15-20 mmHg higher than the pressure when it stops and displays EE. Make sure at least 5 min allowed between readings.

Whirlpool gold dishwasher gets stuck at 53 minutes left for an hour

Try "resetting" the control board by running the diagnostic cycle. The cycle completes in 15 minutes.
The details are in the service manual. The manual can be found hidden behind the tow plate (at the very bottom front of the washer).
The diagnostic cycle may tell you the problem. It also helps clear up some of the software gltiches.
It is easy to run the diagnostic cycle.
Just the buttons in the following sequence. The sequence should be complete within 6 sec.
heated dry -> Normal -> heated dry -> Normal
This will trigger diagnostic cycle of 19 intervals. Pay special attention to the intervals 18, 17, 9, 6, 4.
Interval 18 - displays your controller module number (should be letter 'd' followed by number 0 or 1 or 2 or something. Note that down for future reference.
Interval 17 displays 'software generation number' Note that down for future reference.
Then wait until you reach interval 9.  --- clean LED turns on - then an open or shorted thermister is detected.
-- Sanitized LED turns on - then the washer detected greater than 100 deg F temperature
Interval 7
-- Soaking/sensing LED should NOT come on (unless food soil is present).
Interval 4 -- Soaking/sensing LED should come on

Let the cycle complete and then try running the normal wash. Hopefully the possible glitches are cleared by now and you should have no problem.
If this doesn't work, time to call the expert tech.

Bosch washer spin only

Had a repair man here for the same issue. Learned two things:

1. Too much detergent causes 'soap lock.' The electronics will get confused when there's too many suds left after a rinse and shut the spin cycle down. That's why re-running the entire cycle without more detergent solves the problem. Use less detergent.

2. There is a way to manually get the spin cycle to run using diagnostics codes. Here's what my guy did:

a. Washer selection knob in OFF position.
b. Hold the 'Spin Selection' and 'Delay Start' buttons down at the same time.
c. While holding those two buttons, turn the Washing selector knob to Permanent Press-Cold.
d. Keep the buttons held down until the LCD control panel reads 'P:01'
d. Release buttons.
e. Use the 'Spin Selection' button to cycle thru the codes. Stop when it reads 'P:04' which is the spin cycle.
f. Press 'Start/Pause' button to begin the spin cycle.

I don't know what the other codes do but this should save you from having to run the entire wash cycle.

Hope that helps! Tim
