Someone turned on the mute and know when someone phones in the phone doesn't ring.

increase the vulome from car or you try another phone

It could be that your selected ringtone is inaudible. Go into your settings and test the selected ringtone for calls. If you can't hear it, try another. Also check your ringer volume setting. It may be all the way down.

seems your ringer (Speaker) got damage you have to replace them, install a new speaker and your phone would ring back again.

I don't know this particular model, but suggest you check to make sure "mute" is not on.

It must be hardware problem. to fix that visit to nearest nokia care centre.

Receiving Calls
1. To answer a call, touch or open the slide.
 If the slide is closed, simply slide it up.
 If the slide is closed, press the Voice
Commands key twice, then touch .
 If the slide is open and the touch buttons are
lit, touch .
NOTE If you touch Left Soft Key [Quiet] while the
phone is ringing, the ringing or vibration is muted
for that call.
NOTE If you touch Right Soft Key [Ignore] while the
phone is ringing, the call will end.



Mute Function
The Mute Function prevents the transmission of
your voice to the caller. To quickly activate Mute
touch Left Soft Key [Mute], then to unmute
touch Left Soft Key [Unmute].

NOTE! while doing this you must call someone then while talking with him touch Left Soft Key [Unmute] to Unmute

Hi the only way you can make the phone ring longer is to goto settings scroll down to call select call then select call divert then select cancel all diverts after you have dont this then select divert if busy turn this on then divert if out of reach turn this on the select divert if not available now leave them like that then when your phone is switched on it wont goto answer unless your on phone to someone else or you hang up on someone.
With the settings like that it will goto answer phone if phone is off or if you have no signal or if you are on phone to someone else but now your phone will ring for aslong as someone rings you for.

Had the same trouble reset the phone to defaults and do not register handset. Enter the area code and program the ringer volume. Use the PROG (MUTE PROG) key & the CALLERID-VOLUME buttons to make selections in the menu on the screen. to save the setting press the PROG key.
