It could be the switch button that you push to turn it on (2031199), or the switch (2031243) could be the problem. If not those 2, then the cord could be bad or even the motor (2031214). I would check that switch button first.

Why doesnt my Haan steamer turn on

If your Haan steamer is not turning on, there could be various reasons for this. Here are some troubleshooting procedures to assist you in identifying and maybe resolving the issue:

Check the Power Source: Make sure the steamer is plugged into a working power source. Check if the outlet is operational by using another device or appliance.

Inspect the Power Cord: Look for any visible damage, such as frayed or exposed wires, on the power cord. If there is any damage to the cord, do not use the steamer until it has been fixed or replaced.

Safety Locks and Buttons: Some steamers feature safety locks or buttons that must be engaged before the unit will turn on. Check the user handbook for any special instructions regarding these safety measures.

Water Reservoir: Ensure that the water reservoir is appropriately filled. Many steamers require water to generate steam, therefore they may not operate if the reservoir is empty or the water level is too low.

Safety systems: Some steamers have safety systems that prohibit them from starting if specific requirements are not satisfied. For example, the steamer may need to reach a certain temperature before it can be used. Allow the steamer some time to attain the required temperature.
Overheating Protection: If the steamer includes overheating protection, it will stop down briefly if it becomes too hot. Allow the steamer to cool before using it again.

A malfunctioning power switch or electrical circuitry could be the source of the problem. If you've examined all of the external causes and the steamer still won't switch on, it may need to be inspected and repaired by an expert.

I hope you can solve your problem.

What can be the problem with steam mop it switches on,but doesnt heat up

If water is still dispensed but without turning to steam, then I would consider that the heater has failed. You could either try to source a replacement from the manufacturer or try checking the wiring internally if it is out of warranty. Ensure the unit is not plugged in to power before attempting anything like this

Kenmore vacuum model 116

Your best option is to always go to the manufacturer website first for the troubleshooting. Please come to us after the manufacturer has failed to address the issue and you need additional support from a third party source. Since your here I have looked into the problem on their website for you and it looks like you will need to take it in for service at Sears. Kenmore is owned by them after all. Contact Sears Customer service and see if they can arrange repair. My sources tell me however if it is the motor it may be unavailable. For your sake, I hope my sources in this case or wrong. best of luck.

My Heritage II just lost power in the middle of vacuuming. The switch will turn on but no power.??? What is wrong?

It could be the switch that has become defective (the 'feel' of the switch may be different, but needs to be checked with a meter). Another possibility is that the cord has developed a loose connection at or near the power plug. Turn the switch on and wiggle/push the cord near the plug. An intermittent connection is indicated by the motor turning on and off. If so, cut the plug from the cord (they are usually a molded device that can't be serviced) and install a replacement plug from a hardware store or home center. If the switch is determined to be bad, order a new one from an appliance parts store or vacuum repair center. Good luck!

Bissell won't turn on

the motor could be ceased up. do you hear a buzzing noise? if you dont hear a buzzing noise, turn it on for about 1 minute, unless it starts smelling hot or starts smoking. if nothing happens after that, try replacing the power cord.

Purchased a new, portable, vacuum this date. 4/24/08 at Gottschalk's. Got it home, unpacked it and installed attachments. plugged into a power source, and depressed the power switch, machine did not come...

Being under warranty, I would take it back for an exchange. You don't want something brand new and it is dead on arrival. Either that or take it to a warranty shop for repair. You mess with it and that avoids the warranty.
