I have a LCE4332PQ1 compact top load Whirlpool washer, when I plug it in the lights on the menu flash twice but when I press start it wont turn on.

did u try leaving the lid pushed down? I just had the same problem and had to push down on the lid in oirder to get it to work and leave it pushed down during the entire wash, it was quite a pain

This worked for me. I turned off the washer and hit the area on the washer directly to the right of the door handle (not hard enough to break something or cause a dent). It popped right open.
