42" LCD TV no picture.Have sound

It is a new tv.Take it back where u bought it and trade it in for another tv.This tv have those 2 LCD long inverter boards have problems.These 2 long LCD inverter boards are to help the tv LCD screen panel to have a backlight for the tv LCD screen to produced a picture.

The tv have a problems,with the board that call the Tuner signal board.This is the board,where the incomming broadcasting cable wire plug into this board.This a new tv,take it back where u bought it.Exchange it for a new tv replacement.

This problems are those 2 long LCD inverter boards to it left and to it right.These 2 long LCD inverter boards help the LCD picture screen panel to have a backlight to produced a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those refurbishes 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

If you can quickly get to menu before picture goes blank, then go picture / backlight / set backlight to minimum and it will work fine.

there is a problem on your inverter board and the cold cathode lamp.The inverter board is the supplying high voltage supply to the cold cathode lamp.This cold cathode lamp is the illuminating the screen in which the the picture will appear once cold cathode is lit.here is a link where you can buy the parts.. lg 42 in lcd tv power button blinks nine times before staying on and has sound but no picture

1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV
2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)
3. blue light comes ON and stays ON
4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-]
5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear

the only info I could find on this is one withthe same problem. Replacingthe monitor had no effect and the store exchange it.

It needs a new bulb, same thing happen with me. jut get a bulb for this model and change it. if you call sony service, it will cost you about $500.
