try to download the photos on your computer from the card then try to format the card then put it back into your computer. then send your photos that are in your camera internal and send it to your card then download the pics on computer from card then try to put the card back in your camera. if the error still comes back you may have to use a smaller card with less like if you have a 4 g card try using a 2g .

This has to be THE most common failure mode for a digital camera. Some
common error messages that might show up on the LCD's of cameras with
this problem include "E18 lens error" (older Canons), "ACCESS" error
(Sony), "Zoom Error" (Fuji), "Lens Obstructed" (Kodak), "lens error,
restart camera" or just "lens error" (nearly all camera makers lately
use this variation). Some cameras might show nothing at all, but merely
make a beeping noise as the lens goes out, then in, then the camera
shuts off. Sometimes the lens won't even move.
It's a bit of a steep learning curve but once you have the hang of it it's easy. Makes garage sales and pawn shops more interesting too. You wouldn't believe the stuff people leave behind on old drives and memory cards! Nothing it ever DELETED it must be OVERWRITTEN to be destroyed.
Deleting a file on a computer is like covering up the page numbers on a book. All the pages are still there.
You can use Olympus Master 2 with your camera to download photots and edit them ect. This is availabel for free from their consumer website. Here is a link to the download:
if ur talking about moving files such as photots and videos, then u can use the file manager, its under Menu>Applications>Office>File mgr. jus go to where ur file is press options then Organise, from there u get the editing options, such as moving or copying.
If you can see the menu icons on the LCD, and can view earlier photos from your memory card, you probably have an image sensor (CCD) failure. See this link for details. If Canon determines that this is the problem, they will repair your camera at no cost, regardless of warranty status.
basically, dont use a video camera for still photos. All it does is freeze the frame when you "take the picture". This means any photots will be blurred. I am afraid your xmas pics are likely not repearable wothout a lot of time in photoshop.
Next year, ask for a still camera!
