Basically, dont use a video camera for still photos. All it does is freeze the frame when you "take the picture". This means any photots will be blurred. I am afraid your xmas pics are likely not repearable wothout a lot of time in photoshop.
Next year, ask for a still camera!
Sorry i cant be of more help

When I take a picture, it blurs at the slightest movement. What setting is wrong?

Put the main dial on the green camera logo. It is the automatic mode. Then the camera will try to pick the fastest shutter speed it can use to make a good picture. When you take pictures in one of the manual modes, like S, A or M, or in night shot mode, the shutter time can be so long you have motion blur.

When I take picture from my canon s5is everything is so blurred. but the video is still okay

HiI think you have shutter blade oil contaminated in lens unit. Which means its diaphragm unit does not close to small aperture. it will cause over expose on picture mode. In order to check that you have to set M mode and change f-stop value. According to change back of image should change like dark to bright either way.

Blurred image in Samsung Syncmaster732nw monitor

For best pictures, you need to set your PC video resolution to the native resolution of this monitor, which is 1280x1024 @60Hz. Try that first before opening up the monitor to look for bad components.

Screen gets blurred and comes back after applying pressure on LCD

from your description, it appeas to be an issue with the LCD since applying pressure has effect on it. I would advise to check with compaq for warranty repairs if you still have one active. The LCD may have to be replaced for this situation. You can try to use an external monitor to check if the video controller actually works properly

All pictures are blurred and when looking at screen its blurred

Your camera's Focus mode may be set on Macro Selectable in which case the Auto Focus Range will be "wide: 0.07–0.7 m, tele: 0.4–0.7 m (macro AF)" as quoted in the specifications from www.kodak.com web page for the EasyShare M1033. While this setting is great for a close-up of a flower, anything more than a meter (about one yard) away will be blurred unless you reset your Auto Focus mode back to "normal AF" or "landscape mode"

Canon Powershot A75 blurred LCD display

It sounds like the focus element in your lens is not functioning properly. Does the lens retract completely when you turn off the camera? When you push the button does the camera attempt to focus the image? If you do not see any change in the image when you push the button, and do not hear any sound - then your focus motor is either jammed or malfunctioning. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
