1. Open "My Computer" and right click on the "Removable Drive" that pertains to your Sansa. 2. On the drop down list that appears, choose "Format." 3. On the "File System" drop down list, make sure that "FAT" is highlighted. 4. Click "Start."
Disconnect it from your computer and you should be good to go.
You should be able to modify and delete playlists/songs by connecting the player to your computer and accessing the files by going into my computer and selecting the player drive.

In your case , If you want to delete all files in your sansa, maybe you can delete it by formatting your sansa disk. You can find maybe the format on the menu and select format the disk(something like that.) Or you can connect the sansa to the computer and delete all files in there. You can browse your files in the my computer and select the drive created by computer when the sansa is connected.
you must conect to the oficial page of sandisk and download a driver call itself as ¨ device recovery¨ this driver erase all the data and let the device with the factory settings
