Six blink code kp53hs30 cause and or service directions I have schametic

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Flashing 6 times

A 6 flash shutdown indicates low B+, also known as a power supply problem. Not easily fixed or even located by an average consumer. Basically, you have to determine if the part of the power supply that supplies the voltage is bad, or is something loading it down? I know people don't like this answer, but you need a tech to narrow down the problem for you. Sorry!

I don't believe it is stuck in the sleep standby mode, rather it has shutdown with an error. Is there a pattern to the flashing? Does it flash a set number of times?

Kp53hs30 light flashing 6 times

Hello worksofgrace,

I gave this advice earlier, but since your problems is just about the same, I hope this helps.

This problem is linked to a power supply issue. The SSB is part of the power supply chain and will cause system failure if the board is defective. I have seen to many of these type of modular power supply boards fail. The shutdown circuit is detecting excessive voltage/current, and in the process of turning off the set it may have blown something else. I am begining to suspect a design flaw, which happens from time to time. I would suggest having a qualified TV repair person take a look at the TV and work on it.

Thank you,

SONY KP53HS30 rear projection TV screen suddenly turned blue....

The blinking 5 times is an error code meaning that the white balance has a failure. And because you are experiencing a blueish screen then your problem lies in the circuit of the blue picture tube or possibly the blue tube itself is starting to go bad.
