Hp pavilion dv6810us -- the screen went blank suddenly (no hint of a problem) and can't get it back to normal. I've forced shut off and turned back on (4 times over two days)...still black screen. All blue lights appear to work fine (like it boots fine), but nothing on screen. F10 doesn't bring up bios...no text...nothing on screen. Is it the video card? How do I fix it?

Reset button hp pavilion

Hi,
HP Pavilion not available reset button.
A hard or forced reset erases all information in the computer's memory which may restore functionality. Resetting your computer forces the system to clear and reestablish the software connections between the BIOS and the hardware.

Performing a hard or forced reset might fix the following conditions:-
Windows stops responding.
Computer stops before Windows loads - no boot, blinking cursor on a black display, and errors relating to OS not found or a missing drive.
Display suddenly goes blank and stays blank.
Software freezes.
Keyboard stops responding.
The computer does not return from sleep or suspend mode.

Thanks..

Push power lights come on with the fan and some sounds then right back off....then it just keeps that up ...on and off on and off never turning on screen????

Try a full recharge for your battery. Disconnect the battery, and put it back in after a few minutes (this wil reset BIOS)
