My laptop have a problem to start when i start it no disply just the light blinks for few movments then he gone off its a dell inspiron 6400

Dell is a problem power socket laptop and if the battery is not fully charged it will not boot but go to hibernate if there is anyway that the battey can be charged you should be able to boot .if the lites go on and off if you move the adapter connection on the back it is the power socket .your local computer repair shop can fix it about $100 dollars.

Sound like a bad inverter on the screen (kinda like the ballast for a florecent light) does it work if you hook a monitor to it?? I belive that model had an external monitor hookup a blue vga port and you will probably have to turn the port on use th F/N key (function) hold that down and push key that has a little blue monitor on it shouldbe one of the F keys (f1 f2 f3 ect. at the top of the keyboard) Let me know what happens Thanks
