Been told to format it by using mp4 disc

i have a tge hb500 2 GB mp4 player. yeah, mine has a similar problem;
everytime i put songs on it (242 to be exact) it only shows up that i have 200. it is a 2gb, and i still have ALOT of memory space on it. i tried the reformatting thing too, and that will not work for me either. but when i plug it into my computer, it says that all 242 songs are on it. i really need help before i throw this thing through the window. o_0

Jet (S2001 A ) Is Easily Damaged or Easily Wiped Clean When
Attaching The USB Cable To A PC That Recognizes It As A Storage Drive !..Also If You Go Past 975mb of free Space Even Though It Says It Will Hold 1GB Of Music You Get The Same Error So Remember 2 Things ....

go to this webpage, http://www.tgegroup.com/en/support/download.htm I'm not sure if it will help you, you should download the correct firmware for your mp4, you can see the correct version of it turning your mp4 on and then you have to go to settings and click to the play button, it will say you the version mine is HB500(V802.551.517), so, I had to download this firmware, but... I have one problem more, my pc doesn't read my mp4, when I connect it and I open My Pc it stop my computer and I can't to see the content of my MP4, I don't know what's the problem I've tried with others computers and it doesn't works, if you can help me please do it, i would be greatful with you all my life.

I have same problem with Memorex MMP642A. Tried updating firmware, tried some blog suggestions and contacted Memorex for solution. No solution forthcoming yet.
We bought an offbrand mp4 player and now I cant' get anything to download. I keep getting the message "Internal Error, reformat internal media with sigmatel formatter." I even emailed the company (TGE Group HB500) with my question. Noone has responded yet.
my TGE HB500 MP4 video player...when I turn it on a blue screen shows up & it reads "ERROR REFORMAT WITH SIGMATELL FORMAT"

i had the same problem. i talked to someone and said that the software needed is on the disc. but i checked and no format program was on the disc.
I've had the same problem with The TGE group HB500 MP4 video player, it says " Error! reformat internal media with sigmatel formatter" When I pree play after that I can listeen to my music, but when I plug it into the computer to ad/remove things, it says this disk is corrupt or unreadable. I e-mailed the company, but I doubt they will respond, I e-mailed them before several months ago, an I still have no response. I am not happy! I suggest that everyone who is having this problem tell it to their freinds and family how much of a problem this is, and how they do not help their customers. I hope that this can be fixed!
