If you're lucky, your guns are out of alignment and need to be calibrated (you can do this through the remote control) but more likely, your IC circuit is blown and for the money it will cost to have fixed, you can get a brand new TV.

I AM HAVING COLOR PROBLEMS AND HAVE SPIDER WEBS ON THE INSIDE OF THE SCREEN. WHAT IS CAUSING THE COLOR PROBLEM AND HOW DO I CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE TV?

Sounds like you might have yellow sac spiders. They like going on the inside of electronic components (i.e. cars, radios, tvs, computer towers, etc). color issues are normally associated with Color Wheels or chip-boards. Spiders can easily screw this up. Get a Compressed Air Can (like cleaning your keyboard) and clean it out. make sure you unplug the unit before you do this. You will be able to see better.

To get inside you have to take off the back panel. There should be about 14-20 screws holding it on. Be very careful. taking it off. if you need to get another person to help pull it off. You may have to open up other panels to get to the screen. Check out your lamps and wheel to see if they appear damaged or blown or charred in any way.

Spider webs in tv

Easiest way to deal with this is unplug set and remove the back cover. The area inside is fairly open---with a swiffer type duster reach in carefully and remove all the spider webs. Go easy along the inside of the inner screen so you do not scratch it or damage it.

Let me know if you have questions.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

How do I dust inside the screen of a Rear projection TV?

Unplug tv first Usually you can pop the front screen off the set. There may be two hidden catches depending on the model. You may want to use two people for this. Once the screen is off removed the spider web and clean the back mirror with some windex, don't clean the inside of screen with any cleaner. Replace carefully the screen making sure it clicks back correctly

Spider web inside tv

You need to open and clean it carefully.
  1. remove the back bottom panel
  2. Remove the top back panel (carefully the mirror is on it)
  3. Clean the mirror and the lenses (on the mirror don't use products with ammoniac) "a good tip is to use same staff to clean photographic cameras"
  4. Place back the top rear panel
  5. place back the bottom rear panel

Appears that lint is on one of the lenses

this could be a contaminant inside one of the lenses, or possibly spider webs inside the tv.. This is a very common problem. Remove the back of the tv, you will be able to look around the back of the screen with a flashlight and see if there are any spiderwebs. at this time you should also clean your lenses and mirror with some glass cleaner . this will improve your picture as well.

Trying To Remove Screen

I have a panasonic 53 inch and have had the same problem on numerous occasions. I removed the backing of the television, stuck my vaccuum cleaner hose inside the tv and sucked out the spider and the web.
