Password I got an I-touch for Christmas, and I need to know my password to use it it with my secure wireless set-up. I didn't even know I had a secure system. How do I find that password?

just lift the handset and put password. 0000 is default password.

Hello. For setting up an internet connection with your Nintendo 3DS, you have to follow these easy steps:

1. Turn on your console and go to System Settings
2. Tap Internet Settings
3. Tap Connection Settings
4. Tap New Connection
5. Tap Manual Setup
6. Tap Search for Access Point (Here, your Nintendo will search for any wireless connections in range. You will see a status message: Access point found)
7. Look for a Wireless connection (if it's not yours, you have to know the password in order to acces other's connections) Every locked/unlocked connection has a lock/unlock icon. Acces the unlocked icon and then you are connected!

Yes you need wireless router to use wifi in ipod touch or on laptop.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method.
Then click on wireless and enable it.

There are two methods.
This is for WEP:
First goto SYSTEM SETTINGS.
Then WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS and turn that on.
Then goto page three of the system settings and touch INTERNET.
Touch CONNECTION SETTINGS. The first three connections are for a WEP connection which is an older encryption method.
Then touch the NONE next to the CONNECTION 1.
Touch MANUAL SETUP.
It will say SSID with a grey box underneath. Touch the box and enter the name of you wireless network. You will either set
the network id/ssid name yourself i.e "tiddles" or you can find it on the bottom/back of your router or wireless access
point.
Touch OK.
Next touch the right arrow to come to the SECURITY page and touch CHANGE SECURITY SETTINGS. Enter the WEP key (found on
bottom/back of router) then touch OK.
The next two pages should be set to yes and you shouldn't have to change the MTU value (1400).
Touch SAVE and then YES to TEST CONNECTION.

The next method is for WPA.

First goto SYSTEM SETTINGS.
Then WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS and turn that on.
Then goto page three of the system settings and touch INTERNET.
Touch CONNECTION SETTINGS.
Touch ADVANCED SETUP.
Next to CONNECTION 4 touch NONE.
Touch SEARCH FOR AN ACCESS POINT.
Touch your named network (what you named it or the default ssid on bottom/back of router).
Touch the grey box and type in the network password.
Touch OK.
Touch OK to save the setting and then text the connection.

Its a relatively simple process to enable internet on your Ipod. To do this you are going to need a little bit of information. You'll need: your routers Broadcast name (SSID), and your WEP or WPA/2 password.

Now follow these steps:

2. If not at the home screen, press home button.
3. Tap settings button.
4. Tap "wi-fi".
5. If broadcasting your ssid, choose from the 'choose a network' list.
6. Tap 'security' if you are using security and select your security type.
7. Tap the 'other network' button to get back to network setting.
8. Type in your security password, which is your key in your wireless modem setting. (*Important: if your using WEP security type, you must use key 1 from your wireless modem setting. If your using WPA or WPA2 security types then use the WPA Passphrase)
9. Click 'join' after you have typed in your security password.
10. Your network name (ssid) should show in 'choose a network' with a check mark next to it.

Even if the modem/router you are trying to connect to allow 'dynamic IP' address resolution (eg. no need for coonecting device to know IP address, subnet, etc...), you will still need to know the specific 'password'/ 'Security Key'/Encryption Key for your specific modem/router Wifi coonection - I am assume that you also know the correct SSID (Broadcast system ID for Wifi) for this Wifi Connection.
Hope it clarifies a few requirements.

1. Turn on your iPod.
2. If not at the home screen, press home button.
3. Tap settings button.
4. Tap wi-fi.
5. If broadcasting your ssid, choose from the 'choose a network' list.
6. If not broadcasting your ssid choose "other" under 'choose a network'.
7. Under 'name' type your ssid.
8. Tap 'security' if you are using security and select your security type.
9. Tap the 'other network' button to get back to network setting.
10. Type in your security password, which is your key in your wireless network setting. Important *you must use key 1* in wireless setting.
11. Click 'join' after you have typed in your security password.
12. Your network name (ssid) should show in 'choose a network' with a check mark next to it.

• Use security with your wi-fi connection.
• Use the first key password in your wireless network setup screen, key 2, 3, and 4 will cause the iPod touch to not connect even if the password is correct.

Login to your Netgear box. Open IE and goto 192.168.1.1, username: admin password: password
(these are the default settings)
Go to Wireless security settings.
Take a note of the security key.
