i restored my laptop back to factory settings as it kept crashing, now when i ... Try pressing F8 whilst booting to get into safe mode, if this will not work your only option may be to restore to factory settings either from the hard drive partition or from a Windows 7 DVD.

You are caught in a loop. Have no recourse other than to use your restore disks and attempt a repair or new installation.

If you made backup recovery cd's do a fresh install of the operational system to factory setting.

It could be several things, if you are just starting the computer for the first time, it may have encountered an error on the installation media.
Are you using a DVD or CD for the installation? Try cleaning it and retry.
If this is the first time you have attempted it, retry.

If still fails use the emergency disk that comes with all asus machines.

The previous windows installation is either damaged, or did not complete, it is asking you to put your windows disc in so that in can proceed with the installation.
The recovery manager must have damaged your windows installation

Please explain the error. Mostly its because Windows couldn't access some particular area in RAM.

If you just bought it from a store, take it back and they should fix it under warranty.

Seems like the preinstalled image is corrupt or there is a hardware problem. Contact Acer for the correct procedure since this is a new system. I could offer alternate methods if you have the Windows install disc, but it is best to contact the manufacturer as soon as possible so it is on record.

Your windows installation CD might have become corrupt. Use a fresh CD and enter into BIOS settings to set Default Settings before installation.
