Hello ognetpc, did you install 32-bit or 64-bit video drivers ? Example if you have windows 7 64-bit you must install 64-bit video driver, because nvidia 32-bit video driver will not work properly. I found latest drivers for you video card. Click save driver to your computer, install the driver, don't forget to restart the computer. Here is the link.

OK, Here you are . Your present card ,8500GTdraws approximately 40 watts. Your proposed card draws approximately 150 watts according to a review I just read on it. A 400 watt is not very much and if you get close to maxing out you run the risk of a low voltage problem which could and will burn out compoinents.
I would not do it.
Also , if you upgrade power supply, know that the wattage given is usually peak , not operating wattage which can be as much as 10 or more percent less. Go for at least 600.
