Reinstall the audio driver.

Here is Dell Support, and the Drivers and Downloads page for the Dell Inspiron 1501,

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=INS_PNT_1501

Click on the + sign to the left of Audio (1)
Go to the right and click on - Download Now

When the small window comes up, I recommend clicking on - Windows

After you download the file, double-click on it, follow the Installation Wizard's simple instructions. (Do Not change where it will go. Just click on Next)

I don't have any audio output device installed

You need the sound driver I assume for this laptop. If it doesnt match hardware perfectly then nothing will work.

Go to vendors site with your S/N and Model number to locate the exact sound driver.

Have you checked in control panel / sound speech / sounds & audio devices / click on "sounds" blind and see if any of the sounds can be activated by clicking the big black arrow. If greyed out then the driver is not installed.

When I try to play music I here no soud because i have no audio output device installed,How do I install audio output device on compter(Microsoft Vista Xp)for free?

What type of computer is this?
If you are building this unit yourself, and your motherboard does not come with audio. Then you must purchase a Sound card. I think Soundblaster is a good choice...Try clicking on sys information and see if you system has Audio. if so then check and make sure you have plugged your speakers in too the right output port, look at the back of the computer its usually the green jack.

Thank you
