I request you to remove the power cord from the power surge and connect the All-in-One directly to wal outlet.
Step 2: Remove both the cartridges and clean.

Step 3: Clean the cartridges and carriage contacts

Step 4: Power cycle the Unit.
Follow the steps below to power cycle your all-in-one:
1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the USB.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power cable only.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the cable from the all-in-one to your computer.
6. Now check the functionality.
Step 5: Insert both the cartridges.
Now I request you to reinsert the cartridges by performing the steps given in the weblink in step 2 and also align the cartridges.
If the issue still persists then I request you to reset the unit.
Step 6: Semi-full reset.
Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.
2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.
Step 7: Try with Old/New cartridge.
If the issue still persists then I request you to try with a spare cartridge and check the functionality. If with a spare cartridge issue resolves then the issue is due to defective cartridges. If with the spare cartridge issue still persists then I regret to inform you that the issue is due to defective All-in-One and needs to be replaced.
