The DVD we have recorded on (Canon DC210)is now saying it cannot be recognized. Is this fixable? We only took it out and but when we put it back in it suddenly couldn't recognize it.

I have a Samsung recorder, and it requires you to "finalize" the disc before it will play on another unit. Check your manual for specifics, or look in your menu for the "finalize disk" option. Hope this helps...
I HAVE LOST MY INSTALLATION DISK FOR MY CANON DVD CAMCORDER DC210...CAN U HELP ME IN FINDING AND INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE FOR THIS CAMCORDER SO THAT I CAN SEE MY RECORDINGS ON MY COMPUTER
Usually it asks you which mode u perfer to format in but possibly you might have bought the wrong kind of dvd's.This particular model only recognizes "minus" and not "plus" dvd's.
The error message is because, either 1. the disc was initialised on another camcorder, or maybe a PC, or 2. The disc has a recording on it in a different TV system (PAL v SECAM).
From the above, it may be you're using the same disc in two camcorders. To be sure of seeing what's on your disc you need to keep it with the same camcorder from 'initialise' to 'finalise' .
To be able to see the disc on a PC you need to finalise it on the camcorder. There's no other way to get to see your work on a PC.
Unfortunately I think you've lost your recordings this time.
It sounds like you may have a faulty battery or charger.
Take the extra battery and whatever you used to charge it (camcorder or battery charger) back to the shop where you bought it and get them to help you figure out what's wrong with their product. Your purchase is still under warranty and you deserve to have a product that works.
You should absolutely be able to play the recorded DVDs from your camcorder in your DVD player, as long as you remember to finalize the disc and the disc is compatible with the player. If your DVD player is less than five years old or so, you should be fine, provided you're not using dual-layer discs.
I think it is a problem with the camera.
We had one, couldn't finalize, exchanged that, and still the same problem.
Canon NO help whatsoever.
Even the mini disc companies that we purchased, NO help either.
We are returning this camera and going with a hard drive.
We were able to plug the camera to a DVD recorder and copy onto a full size disc.
