Hello, Reset the calculator configuration by pressing [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset][ENTER]. Press [CLEAR] to clear the message Ram Cleared. Restart entering your functions in the [Y=] editor. Hope it helps.
Hello, You did not ask a direct question, so I am not at all sure about what you want.
1. If you want to start drawing y= f(x) graphs, reset the ram of the calculator to get rid of all old configuration settings. Press the [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset] [ENTER] key sequence. Press [CLEAR] to erase message and start graphing your functions. 2. However if you want someone to explain the nature of the symbol which looks like a play button, I, for one, am not a fan of playing the guessing game. Sorry.
Hello, Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset][ENTER]. Resetting RAM will clear old data stored in list, matrices, graphs, stat graphs. If you have precious data, you may choose to press [2nd][MEM][1:ALL] then you scroll down the list and erase individual items. When the Fat Right Arrow points to an item, you press [DEL] to delete it. Be careful not to delete the APPS (have asterisks to show they are archived). Hope it helps.
Hello, The easiest and quickest way to start graphing is to reset the RAM. Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset], then [CLEAR] to clear the RAM Cleared Message and go to the main screen. Hope it helps.
Hello, [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All ram][2:Reset] [ENTER]. Screen shows RAM cleared. Clear the screen and use [Y=] to enter the functions you want to graph. Hope it helps.
Hello,
It seems that wires got crossed. I suggest you reset all RAM by the follwing steps
[2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset][ENTER]
Ram cleared will be displayed on screen. [CLEAR] to go to the home screen.
If that does not solve your problem, reinstall the OS. Post a question on how to install OS, if you want, or read some of the posts on TI83/84/89 about same subject.
If nothing works, I am afraid you will have to repair the calculator.
Perhaps one of the following sources will be helpful:
To reset the TI-89 family, TI-92 family and Voyage 200 graphing calculators, press [2nd] [6] (reads MEM over the key). The [F1] menu appears and contains the following options:
All RAM - Clears all variables and programs from RAM only. This will not delete items from Archive or Apps.
Defaults - Does not clear any files from the calculator. Instead, this option resets the calculator settings to default, including the Mode, Graph Format, Table Setup, and other settings.
Vars - Clears all variables from Archive (Flash ROM). This option will NOT delete Apps or variables stored in RAM memory.
Apps - Clears all Apps from Archive. This will not delete any variables.
Both - Will clear all Apps and Variables from Archive. This will not delete any Variables from RAM.
All Memory - Clears everything from RAM and Archive, leaving only the Calculator OS and its components.
For example, I think you will want to follow the last step above... which would be to press [2nd] [6] [F1] [1] [1] [ENTER] [ENTER].
Also, if you are looking to clear all the RAM in another way I would take a look at the guidebook, which is downloadable from the following site in PDF format.
someone gave me my xbox 360 because the power brick was bad. it would freeze up and show some kind of checkboard thing on the screen. i told the guy at gamestop about it and he told me to make sure its not on the carpet, same for the power brick. it hasnt froze up since so it saved me 100 dollars.
