I have no power at all.

My sansa mp3 player is not coming on at all. It It is very basic. It has a place for a jack and headphones on the left and a volume button button on the right. I have had it for maybe 1mo. I have no power. It takes no batteries. It charges up by the computer.

Hi,
your battery is frozen please try to melt postive and negative charges being combined in the battery by giving high amplitude of current it usually happen in all cell phone and mp3 players, when it is not being used for months or due to cold climate it happens ...please go to nearest service shop and ask him to do so...else if you have the kit you can do it.

thank you (remember to vote for me)

Buy a broken one with the headphone jack intact off Ebay and switch the jacks.

Left side quit working, not earbuds, i tried other sets

I had the same problem. the stereo mini jack connection to the circuit board of the mp3 player is broken or loose. I jiggled the jack around and the sound came back into both ears but that only worked for a little while and is annoying. Basically, unless you can re-solder the mini jack to the circuit board, or get someone to do it for you, your player is now just a flash drive.

Sound only in right ear

Its either the jack or the connector in the device is the problem. You can try connecting other headphone, if this works, then the problem lies on the jack of the old headphone.

Loose headphone connection on mp3

Replacing a headphone jack on a Sansa is a risky endeavor that is bound to do further damage to your player - the original jacks are not orderable directly from Sandisk. Your best bet is to call Sandisk and get an in-warranty replacement.

Headphones

This is a common issue with Mp3 players - the headphone jack is damaged, and must be replaced. Sansa will not sell you just a headphone jack, and there are no repair services, so the entire player must be replaced.

Hi, my sansa e250 has sound come out of only one head phone no matter how many headphones i try the same happens

The jack in the e250s is not made of adamantium, so it can actually go bad; however, if you try different headphones and thus determine that either:
  - All the headphones simultaneously went bad in one side
  - Your left ear has issues
  - The Sansa is only cranking out one channel; and
-the jack feels a little off, or
-perfectly good mp3s are being played off-balance; AND the balance has not been misconfigured in Settings.

...well then, the plot's moving forward and you can get your ear fixed, or stop the cat from killing your headphones, or re-load Sansa or Rockbox.org firmware, or fix the Settings, or see to the appropriate repair to the jack (depending on your warrantee status and skill with soldering irons and ordering off Jameco.com etc.)

Headphone jack

The Sansas Earphone Jack soldier is very cheap try bending it or placing something extra to hold the jacks connection to the player. when closed its not niticeable, no need for soldiering. Try it. Contact me if you want a video of what i did. hope this works.

Headphone jack

try reseting it to factory settings. in other words recovery mode. to do this simply plug it into your computer. Next, puh the hold button until the orange is showing. Now you want to push AND hold down the record button AND the power button at the same time. after a few short seconds, a black screen should come up and say welcome to recovery mode. it may take a few tries to put it into recovery mode by the way. if this doesn't work you will have to take it to where you bought it becuase it's probably the headphone jack is most liley damaged. if it's damaged buy a new one cheap here. www.ebay.com If you need more resources about recovery mode or of you have more questions, here is a link to the sansa e200 series forums. http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/ i hope this helped you. : )
