Harmony 520 screen goes blank

All the buttons work but there is no display. The display lights up but does not display anything. Earlier removing the batteries and putting them back in used to work but not now.

Have raised it logitech but they refuse to help - I had bought the remote in US but am in India now. All they say is they would give a 50% off voucher but that can be used only in the US. That is of no use to me.

I really want to get this fixed. I have tried the #2 button pressing trick, have updated firmware in safe mode - but nothign seems to work

My harmony 520 simply stopped working.

Have you tried resetting your Logitech Harmony 520 remote by updating your remote's firmware? Firmware replacement fixes several Harmony problems.

To upgrade or reapply the firmware on your Harmony remote:
  1. Launch the Harmony remote software and log into your account.
  2. Click on the Downloads button at the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Click on the Firmware button. Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade the firmware on your Harmony remote.
  4. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click on the Update Remote button.
I hope that helps.

Blank screen on logitech harmony 520 remote

If the firmware didnt help, then it is a hardware issue. You probably got water in the battery compartment or something.

Anyway you should call Logitech support for a warranty claim. Or, you can do it by taking a look at the following link:

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=12657

Hope I was able to help!

Hi there i have a logitech harmony 520 remote and my son spilt some soda on it. now the lcd display is blank all the time even when a button is pressed, but when i connect it to my pc via usb it flashes...

Please apply the following troubleshooting steps to get the LCD screen issue resolved:

1- Remove the battery from the Harmony Remote for 10 seconds and insert it back in, and test the remote to see if the screen is displayed properly. If this does not fix the issue, please proceed with the following steps.

2- Make sure you have the latest Logitech Harmony Software (version 7.6.0) installed on your computer.

3- Connect your Harmony Remote to the computer. Run the Logitech Harmony Remote software on the computer and Login to your account.

4- Click on the "Downloads" button at the top and select "Firmware"

5- Remote will go through the firmware update, which will put the Harmony Remote back to Factory Default with the most updated firmware. Then software will ask you to select "Yes" to update the remote and click on "Next" to do a remote update, which will take the information on your account with your Devices and Activities and bring them into the Harmony Remote.

6- If this Firmware Update process does not fix the LCD screen issue, try doing a Firmware Update in "Safe Mode". To do this; remove the battery from the remote, press and hold the "Off" button on the top of the Harmony Remote and insert the battery back in to the Harmony Remote. Screen will display "Safe Mode" and then please follow the steps 3 through 5 again.

If this doesnt fix the problem i suggest you contact logitech. when contacting them, do not tell them your son spit soda on it:

Logitech's Warranty is:

Nontransferable to other users and limited to the original purchaser

The display on my Logitech Harmony 520 has gone out. The remote lights up and controls everything but you cant see any of the letters on the screen to know what you are selecting.

Try opening the Logitech Harmony remote software on your computer, then log in. Update the firmware. Don't plug the USB cable into the remote until you are requested to by the program. It should recognize the remote and let you know, even if the screen isn't showing anything. Try to update and see if this helps.
