You need to use regedit application. Search for ask.com and asktoolbar and delete all instances from your registry. Before you do that please backup your registry by creating a registry file with the date and time. I can help you with your computer problems. Just send me a line at [email protected] and tell me about your problems or call me at 847 380 6439 with a clear message and I will get back to you in a few hours.
Hi,
Sounds like you have a XP virus. Turn your computer on and go into "safe mode with networking". once connected to the internet go to cnet.com. Go to the download tab for windows. Then download and install "malwarebytes".
Install the program and run it, this should take out the malware. If succesful, go to your computer icon, right click and then select properties. Turn of system restore and restart your computer. This will remove all the nasties. Remember to turn on system restore after this is completed.
the message box is full or some unread messages are there in between messages if one is there also you wil get the same one more thing is that if you delete the message with out reading it then the message alert shows so goto the deleted messages and delete all forever........then seeeee your problem will be gone
Start->Setting->Control Panel->Add/Remove Software and un-install McAfee software There should be two or three McAfee related software. After the un-install the software, the popup will be gone!
By the way, it is always safer to have an active Anti Virus protection.
