I have 46" Sharp Aquos. It is connected to ATT U-verse. All of the sudden, I am unable to dispay a menu on a screen and when I want to change a volume, no bars are shown. I can't display "input" sourses on a screen as well, which means I can't use VCR and DVD. The remote still change sound (but not showing any volume on a screen), can tirn TV on and off. It is worled but on a very limited capacity. I have changed batteries, did not help. I have a 26" Sharp and this remote did produced a menu on a screen and bars when changing a volume. Why it does not show these things on a big TV? Thank you, Eugene

User 'rapolley' is absolutely right. One can cycle through the functions to access different options, ie. 'TV', 'Audio', 'DVD', etc. I stumbled upon this solution when I thought my 'Menu' button wasn't working. All I had to do is cycle through the 'Functions' and choose 'Menu' once I get to 'TV'. Thanks!

Make sure your remote lock is set to off.

SOURCE: Volume won't display and can't enter menu

U can unplug.replug about an hour later,it will reset it back to factory setting.Should work as before.

If it is doing this it could cause more damage, either in the sound circuit or elsewhere, do it with sound off?

I have a sharp aquos lc-c4677un its not turning on at all now. When I push the power botton on the tv, the power light turns on and about 2-3sec the power and opc light start to blink and thats about it.

How are the power and opc lights blinking? Do they blink simultaneously or does one blink then the other? How many time do they blink per second? Also have you had it fixed yet? and if so what was done? I had a similar problem with my set.

sounds like something is shorting and the safety on the psu is kicking in.is the backlight behind your screen flickering prior to it cutting out. if so sunds like a cft has gone faulty. can be fixed though

sounds like you have a cable connection problem make sure your tv is set to dtv signal in the menu screen. when you scan the channels should be displayed as 12.1 or 8.2 not just a single number if the digital channels are programmed correctly then change the cable coming into the tv from antenna making sure that it isnot crossing any power wires good luck and hope that i helped

Sharp Aquos 46" HDMI problem

I have a similar problem. The Sharp TV aquos appears to be shutting down my blue ray player and dvd recorder when connected via HDMI. They work fine and never close down when I connect them via the rca cables either single video connection or a composite 3 cable rca lead. I have 3 HDMI inputs on the tv and the problem occurs on all 3. Any suggestions?

Contact Sharp to locate the nearest authorized Sharp servicer. Sharp Aquos servicers have to give Aquos TV top priority. Sharp provides very good and fast serice on these sets.

yes and no. That particular tv you have is done for, but if you just purchased it 6 months ago, you are still within you 1 year warranty with sharp. they will ask you to take it to a authorized service center and you need to follow through with the process. about a week or 2 will pass and the service center will deem the unit unrepairable and sharp will replace it if they cant solve the problem. give em call..good luck 2u
