My removable disc D has appears to have dissapeared from my computer leaving me only 10kb of space left. There is no way I have knowingly used this space so where could it have gone?

I have an ACER computer that appears to have lost most of it's disk space on the D. Drive. The disd size is 150Gb and yet I appear to have used very little disc space. I have less the 20Gb used by my music, documentsand photographs. My system is Windows Vista I have no usage for any other media types such as video's etc.

Laptop C partition low disk space

Make sure your hard disk has enough space. Most often when the error massage comes it will tell you how much free space is required to install the game look keenly and know how much space is required then either move all media files mainly video files especially downloaded in the download folder to an alternative partition and only leave windows and installed program on Local Disk C. Other wise if your hard disk capacity is very small then am afraid that you will have to get a bigger hard disk.

I keep getting a note teling me that I have Low Disc Space on my Local Disc (D) - 4.87MB free of 119 GB. How do I free up this space. When using it's solution it just empies my Recycle Bin but this doesn't...

I would download and run the registry utility from iobit.com
It is freeware and works then run CHKDSK/F.

Within iobits programme are useful utilities that empty the temporary directories and can remove unwanted old files.
Hope that helps.

Low memory disk

If you have low memory disk, try to check your cpacity. To do this, click Start > then right click Computer then click Properties. You will check your RAM if it is 512MB, 1GB or 2GB. Then click Start then click My Computer. Then right click Local Disc C then click Properties. You will check the total memory space available. If the free space is very little already, try to remove unnecessary programs such as games... Restrart the pc and check if your space is still low...

My desktop keeps disappearing

Hi!

Remove unnecessary programs installed on your computer. This will help you save space and then more room for special processes for system performance.

Next, I advise you to run a full computer scan. This will help eliminate viruses or spywares on your PC and I think which is also the culprit to your Desktop suddenly dissapearing. Viruses are nasty and they will do everything to bug your computer down.

Disk wont finalize samsung sc-dx103

Samsung support just told me that there has to be some space left on the disc to finalize it. In other words if you fill the disc with too much video, the disc won't be able to write the necassary info on the disc to finalize it. Support told me you needed 10MB to finalize. He also told me to leave 7- 10 minutes of free space which is ridiculous because the disc only records 20 minutes. I have complained to Samsung about this ommission from the manual and that the camcorder should know to leave enough space to finalize the disc.>

I have no volume on my dell inspiron e1505. How can I fix this?

hey there, open up my computer and right click on your c drive. This will open a window with a pie chart showing used and free space. If you are out of free space I would run cc cleaner located here .

run the top two cleaners located in the left column. This will clean up all of your trash. Next, any files such as photos or music, transfer to disc, external hard drive or a usb flash drive as your disk drive is too small. Another option would be to get a larger hard drive. Most computers have space to add another inside or the easiest would be to purchase a usb external drive, move all files to it and leave your programs on the hard drive you have. If you need more help, let me know.
