Best advice; save the $10-$20 on getting a new remote and get a new TV. If you look up iLo High Definition TV Problems, you'll get a whole slew of problems, most occurring within a months-years. However, if your iLo Television suddenly does have problems, contact [email protected] Matthew D. Schelkopf. He will be building a Class-Action lawsuit against whatever company makes the televisions cause according to another source on this website, three companies make it for Wal-Mart. Good luck with the TV either way; ours died tonight, and that's no joke. : (

The Directv web site has only one code to try for the ILO TV. 10171

Dvd player and analog tv
You're not trying to use the "Tuner" in the ILO are you? Bypass it and use the A/V cables from the "out" of the converter box. I think mine also has the coax type cable from the "to tv" to the ILO, then from the "to tv" on the ILO to the television. Either way should work. Mine works great, its a zenith and I have successfully recorded to discs in my ILO. Just change the Source back to the DVD source to watch a dvd or select the corresponding A/V connections that are hooked to your convertor box to watch/record television.

Can't record from tv or disc,
shouldn't need one, If you can't get the tuner source of your ilo to record, try using A/V cables (output) from tv to (Inputs) on ilo. set tv on channel you want to watch and it should come through to the ilo (selecting the correct source input of course) If your tv is really old and doesn't have A/V then you will need RF Modulator. This way of hooking tv up will also work with recording DIGITAL signal from a Digital converter box type tuner (the tuner in Ilo soon to be no longer operatable).
