if you are talking about the motor in the freezer the ice build up could be causing the fan to beat against the ice... could be a defrost cycle problem,,,, if ice is building up on rear freezer wall you have a defrost cycle problem and the ice is forminf around fan causing fan blades to hit the ice (loud noise)

From what you're describing it sounds like the freezer fan motor is causing the noise you hear. The freezer fan is the only moving part in the freezer section. I recommend replacing the freezer fan motor & fan blade together. If there is ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer then the sound is likely from the fan blade hitting the ice and you will need to defrost the unit.
You might have ice building up around your fan or in the back of the freezer. If that is the case, then you have problems with the defrost circuit (defrost heater, defrost thermostat or defrost timer).
Suggest you open up the back panel of the freezer and see what is going on back there, before you have to replace the fan and motor.
You have to take the food, and then the shelves out and then take the 2-4 screws out of the back panel and remove it. If there is ice buildup then you will need to defrost your freezer and then troubleshoot the defrost circuit to determine what part has failed. The good news is that you will be able to order the parts and wait for them to arrive since you can use your refrigerator for awhile before the ice becomes a problem again.
theres ice in the fan propelar, if you see no ice blocking the propellers its the fan motor itself,if you unplug the fridge and stick something thin between the vents where you feel the air blowing thru and try turning the fan,gently and it spins smooth its the fan motor,if you dont wish to do this turn freezer off,open the door and let it defrost,then plug it in if buzz still there its the fan motor

From your description, you have a bad evaporator fan motor. The part number for a replacement motor is #5304445861.This is not a direct replacement but is more reliable.Remove everything in the freezer, take off the back panels and you will see the fan.

Frost is due to outside air leaking into unit. Check on back wall to see if hole for ice maker fill tube is still plugged. If not and you have no ice maker cover hole with tape. Also look for water or ice build up in bottom of freezer or ref. sections. May have a plugged drain. Let me know what you find.
